Picturing sherdoggers sincerely running simulated eye pokes tests on themselves then telling us their findings is absurdly satisfying loltry again

it was clearly a joke, relax.Certainly sounds like it meets the "shertard" scientific standard.
"I poked myself in the eyelid and can still see, it's exactly the same as getting poked by a HW pro."
If I get yellows for calling this the single dumbest fucking post I've ever read, I'll take it.
No we cant judge by the replay, but we can judge by the immediate reaction after the poke. Tom was seeing things fine before the doctors came in with a towel. You can't judge an eye poke by a replay - the slow mo makes it look nowhere near as bad for starters.
The eye is very sensitive. That slow mo - imagine Gane's movements and force in full flow, he's a 6 ft 5 beast and was tryna fend Aspinall off.
Eye pokes never look as bad as they are. You're talking through your ass. Only the guy who's been poked truly knows.
Gane just slid a finger over Tom's right eye, which was closed. How can you hold the wrong eye when they both got poked?
I have watched the HD replay of the eye poke over and over and have noticed very clear signs that Tom was acting, here are the facts:
1. As soon as Tom's eye was poked, he actually seemed calm and didn't show any signs of blindness at all . In fact both of his eyes were fine after he got poked , he was walking gingerly to his corner. Tom wasn't actively squiniting or struggling to open his eyelid at all, he was fine. It was only until the doctor came in, then all of a sudden he is holding a towel against his eye and says he cant see.
2. During the eye poke, Tom's eyes were both closed and Gane's fingers never actually went inside.
I dont think anyone will change my mind that Tom actually quit, the quitting was as blatant as aljo's.
Gane was catching him with clean counters and forcing Tom to miss a lot, the difference in speed and range was also quite aparrent. Tom saw the opportunity to quit without penalty and shamlessly took it.
I would have believed Tom if he said his vision was blury and he can't see clearly, but the fact that he immediately said he can't see anything is very sus considering gane's finger's never made direct contact with Tom's eyeballs (just the eye lids).

/thread.Jones retired and vacated his belt to duck tom then unretired once tom had a fight booked. Anything he says about tom is irrelevant. Even if tom lost his next 10 fights. Jones still ducked him. Even if tom is a conplete fraud. Jones still ducked him.
Yes, before the fight even started, apparently agreed to, then not.Jon quit first
Suga vs Munhoz
These are just similar pokes where dudes got splayed in both eyes with their eyelids closed.
Replicating the ref reaction and how the bribed athletics commissions interpret what is essentially a fight anomaly is tough to do.
This is literally the first eye poke No Contest in UFC title fight history I believe. Asking for perfectly comparable outliers is kind of an unreasonable request. The best we have is similar pokes with closed eyes that led to fight stoppages.
He was losing correct?
In at least 5000 fights I have never seen a fight stopped over a poke when a Dr says they see absolutely nothing wrong. Have never seen a fighter in the first 30 seconds say the magical words all fighters say they know will end the fight. Not a single time. Tom LOOKS suspect and you can make the fair argument looks can be deceiving but pretending you can’t understand how it looks suspect is something I just can’t grasp unless you really wanted him to winPedro won the first round on all cards. Second was close, he was probably getting edged but it was a low volume fight, not a bunch of damage either way.
I don’t know why you are shocked at the idea that a 250 pound man ramming his fingers into both of your eyeballs couldn’t temporarily blind you. Tom was losing but not getting destroyed, had no real reason to quit, never has been a faker/embellisher.
You can see his eyeballs move under the eyelids from the force of the poke. Why not give him the benefit of the doubt unless you want to push an unfair and unfounded narrative?
Classic case of "i want out cause im losing and i know it came from a foul and i wont lose the fight", say something like that in the corner or after getting fouled, fight is getting stopped 100%, one thing is clear tho, the guy taking the way out is never the one winning the fight up to that moment.Fighters know they have 5 minutes to recover before making a decision, why did Tom say "I can't fuckin' see!" 3 times in 4 minutes? Just recover mate.
I'll take that, but realize where we're at. For every joke there's ten people that stand firm on the same topic.it was clearly a joke, relax.

But Jones isn’t, he quit/retiredJones should be in there defending his title and get poked hard and answer to it. Even though he's usually the one poking
Oh yeah he's not in a world title fight
It really wasn't that bad, I have seen so many different eye poke reactions, Tom's reaction is not genuine. The FACT is Tom got eye gouged! Okay big mouth, let’s see you in a fight with title, health, legacy and possible future of your career on the line. Your mind will change dramatically. Think before you speak!
