Tom actually quit. Jones was right.

Fighters know they have 5 minutes to recover before making a decision, why did Tom say "I can't fuckin' see!" 3 times in 4 minutes? Just recover mate.
Yeah anyone who is wounded just needs to wait 5 whole minutes to see if it magically heals. Wtf the universe settles all damsge in 5 minutes go back in there

I think Tom was in trouble and realized he wasnt going to outstrike Gane and failed taking him down.

I dont doubt the poke hurt, but it definitely felt like an out.

I think he saw his career flashing before him
Let me tell you why it “felt like an out”…fighters KNOW if you say the magic words “I can’t see” they WILL stop the fight.

Tom did not even wait, take his time, to see if it would get better but INSTEAD said the magic quitter words ASAP!

Bottom line is if it was that bad someone would’ve said something, doctors cleared his eye post fight, the in ring doctor said he was fine as well. If something was wrong with his eye it would’ve come up in post fight, instead he is trying to convince everyone his “eye isn’t ok” when pretty much all professionals are saying the opposite.

If the poke was that bad it would’ve been something like Belal vs Leon 1 and there would’ve been visible damage like we’ve seen pretty much everytime someone quits from an eye poke.

Even Munhoz vs O Malley it didn’t look like Pedro got poked that hard but his eye was fucked up post fight and I think he had a scratched cornea.

It sounded like Tom just wanted the DQ win, Gane to take the loss and he moves on to defend the title against someone else. He seemed genuinely mad he didn't get the win from it. I think he might have been compromised from the poke atleast a little as well, so it's a career decision to not fight through it.

I'm pissed because it looked like the 1st real fight Aspinall was in and he was losing the round everyone thought was his, and he's probably going to use the time to rematch with another full camp to change his gameplan. Which again is great for his career, but as fans we've never seen him in a real HW championship fight yet and he hasn't completed a fight since 2024, the next possible time might be later in 2026 at this rate. This is going to be the second time he's going to rematch another fighter from a fight that ended in an injury.

HW division curse is real. On the bright side the only guys Aspinall hasn't beat that are decent is Gane or Almeida, and Almeida lost, so there's nothing really besides Gane rematch and other rematches. Would learn more about his skills if he did fight Almeida. Should be free title defenses past Gane.

It’s not arguable that he quit. It’s an indisputable fact.

Now does that mean he would or can’t win? Does it make him a bitch? All this stuff is arguable. But he spoke and said I don’t want to continue this fight. The rest is all conjecture,we’ll see next time.

If you call not wanting to continue a fight with compromised abilities caused due to opponents illegal actions quitting, then yes he did quit. And Gane did cheat. Facts.

You should be pissed at Gane though, the root cause of all this. It's not a curse, it's one guy's actions, which I believe were completely intentional.

It's absurd that Tom is getting 10x the hate that Gane is.
