Who are we kidding, how was that not intentional?

aspinal already look like he gassed and bloodied up
o yeah why would he do it intentionaly lmao

so that it would be a no contest?

aspinal slowed down
i dont think aspinal kos him if the fight continued
more like aspinal will slow down even more
and gane will pick him apart
Yeah obviously Aspinall was trying to skewer his own eyes on Ganes fingers.

Stop coping for a cheater. Gane was clearly focusing straight at Tom's face while locking the target. Once he felt his eyeballs he pushed in further instinctively because that's what habitual dirty cheaters do.
Aspinall pushed himself into the fingers when throwing the hook simultaneously. This happened way to fast to be intentionnal.

Gane is reckless with the way he post with open hands, so he is responsible.

"Listen, I know it wasn't intentional..."

- retarded ref.

Of course. Why not fuck up a fight that i desperately wanted and needed and that i'm actually winning, or at the very least, almost parfectly beginning, with an intentionnal eye-poke?

genius take.....
It's pretty simple....he figured he'd get away with a warning or a point deduction at most. His dumb ass didn't realize it could end the fight.

Third time he's squandered a shot at the title.

Are people seriously retarded?

Gane was literally digging in his fingers once he locked in the target. Also he did the exact same thing shortly before stopping Tom's takedown by fingering Tom's eyes. A takedown that would've guaranteed Tom the RD if not even the fight.

What could possibly be the explanation someones fingers randomly just end up in the opponents eye sockets?
It's so the but hurt Jon boi fangurls coming out the woodworks.

Well he saved himself of being subbed in a minute poking Tom's eyes to avoid the takedown, seems like a good tactic to cheat...

Dirty cheaters with their fingers out just waiting to eye poke!. All of them!

Oh, wait.... Nevermind!

Gane really is fantastic at squandering chances to take undisputed gold.

Can't even defend takedowns from 1 legged Ngannou and when he puts himself in a golden opportunity to be the first guy to really test Tom in the deep rounds he can't fuck off with his fingers out nonsense and costs himself that opportunity.

Because he gets away with stuff and obviously are that stupid.

Now, please explain how Gane's fingers accidentally ended up in Tom's eye sockets..
because toms defense is trash?

funny thing is gane is more of a champion than tom

tom hasnt really won the real title
it was given to him

It wasn't an accident and his fingers only touched his eyelids.

Are you fucking retarded?

They've both only won an interim title. Tom was promoted to undisputed after Jones refused to fight him and he defeated Sergei Pavlovich for his title win who demolished Derrick Lewis who Gane beat to win his title.

This is absolutely what happened, Aspinall has been cast the fool for not fighting through the foul, ironic the foul was the eye poke considering Jones is most prolific fighter with an eyeball necklace from title fights..

It's dumb how they call literally every eye poke non-intentional.

If you are moving your hand towards the opponents face with fingers stretched out, it's intentional. It should always be a point deduction without warning.
The issue seems to be that they conflate intentional with Malicious. Eddie Alvarez kneed Dustin in the head. He wasn't trying to knee him in the body and the guy moved thereby accidentally fouling. He aimed for the head and hit the head. Because they didn't think it was maliciously intended they went NC rather than DQ.

I think they need to make the fingers to the face an automatic point and if there is an actual poke of any significance an automatic DQ.
Sumo has very few eye pokes because of the culture of honor and its a DQ. The Sumo wrestlers train to curl their fingers so they don't eye poke. MMA fighters will only train as such if they have to, warning after warning won't alter the behaviour.

Apparently you are. They didn't "just wind up there." You're in a sport where fingers are allowed to be near and around people's heads - striking, grabbing, pushing, attempting to sweep or block what the other person is doing away.

And it's a sport where the other person intentionally tries to move their head and body in unpredictable, explosive, lunging ways. He was on one leg after a kick and, given the way Jones and Francis beat him, was probably worried about Aspinall moving in for a takedown. It was an intentional stiff-arm, but there's nothing to suggest it was an intentional eye-poke. Why would he? He was doing well.

Now, it not being intentional doesn't mean there's no blame. For this kind of contact, the onus is on fighters not only to not intentionally poke or gouge, but also to not be careless in a way that makes that much more likely.

So, it's definitely his fault, but it can be his fault without it being intentional. They're professional fighters. As much as Sherdoggers seem to love professional wrestling and that kind of fake drama, they don't have to be painted as evil cartoon villians.
