Firas Zahabi, long time coach of GSP, doesn't think anybody in the world can survive 2 rounds against Tom Aspinall right now. And that includes Jon Jones.

He used to think Jones would win this fight, but after watching through all of Tom's fights he has now changed his mind.

He thinks Jon is right to chase the Pereira fight instead (who he would "smash") but he doesn't think the UFC will allow that fight to happen.

Does Sherdog agree with Firas's take?

This fight will probably never happen in this century. Therefore his take is meaningless.

So even when Tom got submitted and elbowed to death he looked unstoppable to Master Firas
I'm assuming he means UFC fights.

I forgot fighters can't improve, even after a full decade of experience.

Tom is just as bad as he was when he was 21. The same way Stipe is just as great at 42 as he was at 34.

I mean Tom has solid chance beating Jon Jones but I am irked a lot of people still value Firas opinion. Dude has said tons of bullshit like Chael Sonnen. Also speak in circles just like Chael.

Firas is one of the few with a lot of knowledge about MMA. I also watch his podcast on Youtube.

Funny you mention Chael, a lot of Jones fans on here have been using Chael to argue Stipe looked in his prime at UFC 309.

At the end of the day, people agree with whoever says what they already believe, no matter how reliable they are.

Jones fans are quoting Chael and Sergio Pettis of all people, because Pettis tweeted that Jones walks through Aspinall so there's no need to see it.

I'm just offering a different perspective. And yeah, I tend to value the opinions of one of the most successful and knowledgeable coaches in MMA who was the head coach of the actual GOAT (in my opinion) GSP, over a guy in Chael who says stuff just to make headlines and he doesn't even believe it himself.

Firas wants Jones to lose so that everyone can forget his boy GSP got knocked out by Matt fucking Serra.

Aspinall hasnt been past 2 rounds ffs. And 2 of the 3 times he got to round 2 he lost. That should be highly concerning to any Tom fanboy.

Since he's the sometime coach of Almighty AA he can say what he wants lol

Just realised that's what Arnold allens should call himself. (Almighty) Arnold Allen - Triple A)
