So jones is the GOAT but hes hiding from aspinall?

Aldo and Fedor can have their championships finished in under a minute each and their fans will brush it off as flukes or irrelevant to their legacies.

Jon may or may not be fighting Tom, while offering a potential fight against the reigning LHW champion Pereira instead, 14 years into his reign and it's the end of the world. We also all know if Jon DID get finished by Tom or Pereira in under a minute like they did they wouldn't treat it the same and would instead mock him.

Make it make sense.
you raise an extremely valid point. it's tough to argue with the logic. people absolutely made less of a big deal in regards to legacy about losses for other all time greats. so jon being difficult in negotiations shouldn't do much to his legacy either. i appreciate your post, fam.

They are probably still trying to negotiate this shit.
Nah, there's no way Jones will fight Aspinall. He's gonna do the same thing he did with Ngannou and demand $20-30 million which he knows Dana can't pay him.

As much as I hope it doesn't happen, if Pereira beats Ankalaev we will probably see Pereira vs Jones at heavyweight. It's gonna be shameful if the NSAC refuses to force the UFC to make Jones vs Aspinall.

You guys say this dumb shit as though your own GOATs haven't been KTFO or subbed which is far worse for their legacies.
That's a big part of the problem with Jon Jones at HW. Everyone gets knocked out at HW, That's just how it is but Jon is such a diva that not only does he jump line and take easy fights, he REFUSES to fight anyone who could KO him. Jon Jones is a pussy and should retire immediately, he's a complete embarrassment to the sport and totally disrespectful to fans and other fighters who have their careers put on hold because of his insecurities and ego trips.

Yes. That’s exactly what I said. Glad we agree. He’d prefer to fight Alex.

Doesn’t change the fact that no one knows if he was offered the Tom fight. How can he refuse what you don’t even know for sure that he was offered? This isn’t complicated.
Who are you trying to convince? He would rather fight Alex while DUCKING Tom. Hopefully the fight happens in the summer like Dana said is now the plan. You aren't even convincing yourself.

Everybody gets knocked out at HW except Gane who he's already beaten and Tom who you want him to fight next.

Oh.

And he's afraid of getting KO'd so he's ducking Tom to instead fight Pereira.

Oh.

Should've just written the last sentence so we could know you just hate Jones.

If you ask me I think there's a possibility for Tom versus Jones. In all likelihood Jon Jones has been preparing for Francis and Tom this entire time. But I'm sure he was happy the moment Francis left because he signed that contract vs Gane quick as hell without even trying to draw out negotiations with the UFC.

Jon fought 4 months ago, Aspinall hasn't fought for 8. Alex Pereira won his real UFC title headlining the event Tom won his fake belt. Alex is about to defend his title for the 4th time while Tom has fought once. Who is hiding?

Well Jon is hiding. Why do you think Tom hasn’t fought for 8 months? Because Jon is not accepting a fight with him.

Tom is the interim champ and Jon is the reigning champ. The whole point of an interim belt is to unify it once the reigning champ is active again - which Jon is - and make one person the undisputed champion.

Right now there is no undisputed champion in HW. Tom’s interim title makes Jon a disputed champ.

No person thats been watching MMA longer than a week thought Gane was going to win. The fight went exactly like almost every person expected except noobs that were buying the hype.

Jones was left no option but to fight Gane when Francis quit the UFC and it couldnt be marketed as a superfight as Gane didnt have the stardom

Gane was frankly a bigger threat than Francis.

Francis has 1 tool at this disposal, Gane is a kickboxer with knockout power, size and submissions.

Francis had a left hook and punchers chance, which hasnt worked out for anyone.

Man, people give Jones shit for fighting a 40 year old , #2 ranked Stipe.

But when Fedor got starched by a 41 legit MW, ehh meant nothing to his "legacy"

To be fair, the 41 year old fedor fought was extremely active and was a strikeforce champ at the time. Jon basically called Stipe out of retirement 😅.

Additionally, people usually appeal to the idea of "fight miles/years" where a 30 year old Shogun was some like war torn octogenerian because of what he's been through.

So while Fedor may have been 41, but Jon's entire fight career is about the amount of fights in Fedor's virtually unbeaten streak. Except Fedor did a 7 year speed run to get his record to 28-1-(1), as opposed to 16. Shit just ages you differently

1. Jones is far and away the LHW GOAT. His fighting legacy is cemented.
2. The concept of p4p GOAT is nonsensical.
3. Jones has ducked multiple HWs over the years; this isn't anything new. He's always been risk-averse.

No he hasn't, if he was he wouldn't have taken on Shogun for a start.

Valid point, but Stipe was ranked #2 at HW

and though Dan was active, it was a MW/LHW he had never fought HW

But this what I mean when Fedor still gets a pass after getting slept by 41 MW Dan as opposed to Jones beating 40 year #2 HW

Gane wins a standup fight 10/10 period. Not many people knew he was going to play video games for a whole year instead of training a minute of TDD. Knowing that, yeah he was toast, hindsight is 20/20
