Agree it won’t pass, but if you’re referring to the quote in the article from that constitutional law professor, I don’t understand the logic there at all. The 22nd Amendment is clear that no person shall be elected to the office of POTUS more than twice. It doesn’t say anything about it having to be being consecutive terms. The only loophole I could see would be to have Trump (or whomever) run as Vice President under a different presidential candidate, then if they win have that POTUS resign. That would buy Trump another 2 years but no more than that. I have no idea what exactly would have to happen, but I assume he’d have to resign at that point.
