Why does Jones need an extra 6 months to prepare for Tom after they sign the contract?

My belief is that he needs an extra amount of time to have PEDs be effective in his system in terms of intense training and speedy recovery, while the remaining amount of time becomes untraceable. He has a professional team behind him who understands the science.

Let’s hope during those 6 months he is randomly drug tested frequently, say once a week. That’s if they can find him.

What the hell kind of steroid needs a 6-month cycle?!

I’m not saying steroids only during these 6 months, but there could be other illegal activities. Maybe multiple cycles during these 6 months. I don’t know how steroids work.

All I know is who the hell needs 6 months of training? Anything can happen in 6 months. Towards the end he may pull one of his “injury” excuses to buy more time. This sociopath is a professional at making his fans believe his lies.

might be trying to put on size for aspinall who's a big HW or maybe he just needs time to take off for injuries. But it's more likely that he is trying to negotiate

This needed another thread.

Why six months? If the rumor is true then my guess is that at his age and after his pec injury, Jon is wary of overtraining but wants to get about to the same state of preparation he was able to get to in a serious full camp when he was younger. A major training camp injury is a career ending injury at this point for Jon, so training at 80% of a lower peak training effort for five or six months rather than 95% of a higher peak training effort for three or four is the way to go; when you get close to peak effort, injury risk goes up dramatically. It's likely a good sign meaning that Jon is motivated to stay healthy and take the fight seriously.

Jon never had any intention of fighting anywhere other than MSG, and that's even if he has the stones to sign the fight agreement.

Three scenarios:

To cycle off
To hope an injury during a long camp
To see how Big Mohammed vs Poatan II will play out

Jeez, you Jon slurpers are really pushing this "grandpa Bones" shtick-narrative, eh? <seniorvolk>

Chill out, the dude is in his mid-30s and uses only the finest steroids on the market to recover, he'll be fine.
He just fought 43 years old natty old man Miocic, and Stipe only needed 2 months to prepare for the fight (announced September 15th for the UFC 309 on November 16th).

Still, sadly this Jones vs Tom match-up is the kind of fight that I'll only believe when they're both in the cage. You just know that Jon could get "injured" up to the day of the fight ><
