And you choose to live in that area. There are millions of people who are actually low income and can't move. Hence it's insulting to pretend $110K in the Bay Area is "low income" even though these people can commute or move. It sucks, but government benefits should go to those most in need.
That's more a side effect of people who live on coast trend much more affluent. A huge chunk of Santa Clara HH would qualify under the 75K income. Those people need help far more than someone making double that and in the top quarter of earners.

The entire stock market is resting on an AI bubble. The chemical industry, which is an extremely accurate gauge of demand, has been pulling back investment hard for the last year to two years. When the AI bubble burst, I would not see a 30-50% drop in a lot of indices.
