Tom actually quit. Jones was right.

Depends on your definition of "star", but the groundswell for Jones/Aspinall was absolutely on par with Jones/Francis.ajor media outlets were all calling it THE fight to make (in the entire org, not just HW).

I'd agree Francis had more name recognition up until Jones/Aspinall took on a life of its own. We'll now have to see what happens with Aspinall, if he loses a rematch to Gane then yeah the shine is clearly gone. If he wins spectacularly...different story for sure.
I know youre a true Tom fan

That attention Tom got was purely off the potential of a Jones fight with all his shenanigans

If it werent for Jones, Tom would have had no spotlight on him

Right but you're missing the point that the fact that there was actually a guy that people were clamoring to see Jones fight means that Aspinall had drawn a bunch of attention. Because he was knocking everyone out and how his fights looked. He was the betting favorite over Jones if the fight had been made. Imagine if immediately after Aspinall/Blaydes 2, Tom suffered a career ending injury. Jones himself wouldn't have anyone excited because there wouldn't have been a HW that anyone was invested in him fighting. We'd have been back to everyone yawning like they were in his lackluster fights vs Santos and Lionheart. Aspinall was the reason there was a buzz.

Now...it's absolutely on hiatus. He looked human vs Gane and the whole thing has a bad vibe after the fouling and no contest. So for sure he needs a convincing win to get that mojo back.

That sucks. I liked Sean too.

What everyone seems to be missing is that not all eyepokes are the same. Sure Sean's been poked, good for him. But this was an intentional, severe, deep gouge. Why the hell should Gane be rewarded for that?

He took half a finger into the eye socket. This is how Sean acts when his eye takes a few bad memories.

he's right. none of it adds up under the least amount of scrutiny. the eye that barely took the finger went totally blind even though tom finished the round and watched the replay?

doctors note indicates orbital breakage, never specifies which eye.

goes on ariel saying he needs massive surgery on both eyes, then later that week makes UFC monetized video breakdown of the event, saying he can watch tv now.

total crock of shit.

and he comes out saying the comments from retards bothers him so bad.

Rick Franklin carried on fighting with a broken arm and knocked out Chuck.... So by these standards if anyone stops fighting because of a broken bone they are a big fat pussy! Context is important. All injuries are different.... Sean isn't very measured in the things he says but the world still turns.

He speaks the truth. Anyone with a brain knows Tom took the easy way out. Sean knows he quit, We know he Quit, and most of all Tom knows he quit. That's why he's spent the last 2 months trying to justify his quitting with ridiculous claims of permanent blindness, needing surgery, doctor's reports that don't even specify which eye is damaged, and in his latest video he's wearing spectacles (LOL). If Tom was innocent he wouldn't feel the need to justify himself. His guilty conscience is showing.
