Not exactly the best look for the #1 p4p of all time, to be scared of Aspinall. How can Dana White put his industry behind Jones being the best, while Jones is ducking? It's a horrible look for the brand, he's not seen as a killer like Pereira, hes seen as a chicken boy like @HHJ , Jones only fights like hes trying not to lose, instead of trying to win, just a totally boring, inactive, old, fat enigma of his past self and the UFC can't maintain the invincible image even though hes champion and hasnt lost.

why is HHJ a chicken boy?

a close up of a man in a suit and tie with a question mark on his neck .

Goat based of LHW.
Hw 1 elite win vs Cyril. Old Stipe doesn't count as ranked win.
Tom big > lhw Jon.
Jon lhw career of 2 decades > new Tom.

Aspi-who?
Jones doesnt need to fight randoms to cement his legacy, especially at the end of his career.

1. Jones is far and away the LHW GOAT. His fighting legacy is cemented.
2. The concept of p4p GOAT is nonsensical.
3. Jones has ducked multiple HWs over the years; this isn't anything new. He's always been risk-averse.

Jon so scared of Tom that he’s willing to turn down tens of millions.

Jon is scared of being sent to the shadow realm and legit getting that L. I guess in his mind it makes more sense to duck Tom that it does to take the L and get paid.

UFC needs to strip Jon and let him do his "fun fights." He's holding up a division that needs an exciting champ.

imagine the memes and gifs of jones getting ktfo lol that 30 mil has some cost to it

Serious question; has Jon been formally offered the Tom fight? If you can’t answer this, then you might need to stfu with all this ducking talk.

Jon is more than likely waiting for this weekend to see if Alex wins and then he's gonna weigh his options. The UFC has made it clear they want him to fight Tom. But Jon may have other ideas and it's a good chance he's gonna pursue the Alex fight. I am sure he's received offers for the Tom fight and I am sure he's certainly considering it. But he wants to see the other option as well. Jon doesn't have many fights left, so he's gonna pick what's best for him.

the irony is, this will probably be the first thread you've ever made that @HHJ might actually appreicate

Honestly this.

he's one of the BEST (Talent) and GREATEST (accomplishments) ever. but no one is ever going to say he's the most bad ass fighter of all time or anything like that. he's never stepped in on short notice and put something on the line. He has never fought a dangerous late replacement, or even an easy one like chael.

Jones has always shown up and done exactly what he's expected to do, but never an ounce more.

I agree, this is fully a UFC issue, not a a Jon Jones issue.

As far as I understand, the only update we have is Tom claiming he's done everything to communicate to the UFC his willingness to fight Jones and that he is not even interested in Jones so much as being undisputed.

The UFC should strip him of his title and let Aspinall take the undisputed strap. Tom is still young enough, he can build up his legacy and renew interest in the HW division.

Insofar as a superfight with Jones, that can still happen. HW undisputed v the so-called GOAT will always sell, belts be damned, so as I see it there is no downside to stripping Jones and letting Tom run with it. I mean, I can see why Jon may not want that, but Jon does not call the shots.

If the UFC wanted to force the matter they could, but they simply choose not to; meanwhile, fans and various media are concocting all manner of narrative to explain why it's the fighters who are at fault, as though they are masters of their destiny.

people ae osessed here with this guy. guy is hw champ he sould fight everytime contender comes he does not he is ped user he is owner favorite but one thing he is not is p4p best of all time his victories have controversy with them

He's publicly said he doesn't want to fight tom, the interim champion of his weight class, if any other champ said this would you be defending him?

GSP and Khabib had long been retired by the time they were as old as Jones.

Oh actually … Khabib is still younger than Jones.

I think Jones deserves flak for PEDs (despite many of his opponents also being PED users) but cherry picking opponents while at an advanced age is what all smart legends would do or just flat out retire.

The part I don’t like is him still being considered the champ. He is definitely not the undisputed champ atm. It’s definitely disputed.

You guys say this dumb shit as though your own GOATs haven't been KTFO or subbed which is far worse for their legacies.
