Throwback Rate Aspinall's Power /10

The way the board talks about Aspinall is like he has Ngannou power and one touch in the first round Jones will go out before a takedown. He's better at stunning with combos than anything. Still a threat, but let's not pretend everyone wasn't just up Pavlovich's nuts for power for a similar kind of power and resume.

Tom doesn't throw haymakers. He's quick and puts guys out with shots that don't even look like he's throwing everything into it. You aren't going to see him flying in with sloppy windmill punches or throwing from his waist.

Decent but nothing we haven't seen. It's his speed and quickness on his feet that makes him dangerous

They both had a lot of hype before the fight. Aspinall finishing him as quickly as he did rightfully got him even more hype. Pavlovichs loss to Volkov (who Aspinall finished quickly) also gave more credit to the idea that he's a level above the rest of the competition. Especially given that Gane had a competitive decision win vs Volkov.

He definitely stands out as the #1 UFC HW over the last couple of years.

Obviously he doesn't have Ngannou-power, but he has other attributes that arguably make him as dangerous or even more dangerous.

That's why Jones vs Aspinall would be such an exciting fight!

Hard to say but I think Pavlovich was out out
He was astral surfing.

Watch his arms after Big Dan pushes Tom off him. Looks like he's doing some 60s hippie dance on the floor, and his eyes are rolling around.

Well that's a terrifying gif.

Honestly probably an 8 or a 9. He doesn't have the touch of death but it's not far off. Even glancing blows seem to put guys in trouble.

People keep saying these guys are equal in resume or close to it, but that really isn't true.

Sergei: Tai, Blaydes and Lewis

Tom: Sergei, Blaydes, Tybura, Volkov, Spivac, and Arlovski.

Tom has a win over Sergei and a win over someone else that beat Sergei.

His power is atleast 8.5/10.

More than enough power to KO someone with one shot but it's not even the power that makes it game breaking, it's the speed and delivery.

Ridiculous.

His power = 6-7 for a HW, max.

Better than average, but always requires follow-up, and nowhere near 1-shot KO power.

Likely bangs out Jon and Francis if either had the balls to get in the octagon with him

I'm all for the fight as a Jones fan. If he has to "prove" himself against modern HW #1 (which I honestly think Gane counted as much as it's discredited here), just think Aspinall has recently got a reputation as this power puncher with his wins over Blaydes and Pav.

HW is so damn thin right now. I'm just saying if Jones cuts through Aspinall people will go back to narrative of "worst HW era of all time". The top guys in the weight class are sort of unproven, even Aspinall.
