A good handful of fighters has already surpassed Fedor, Fedor hasn’t been in a honest legit conversation of being the Greatest of All Time since 2015. Has Makhachev surpassed him, i don’t know. But if we’re being honest Makhachev resume lacks wins over a Champions, but given the circumstances in the division during his come up, it makes sense..
Saying Makhachevs resume sucks is a stretch, Poirier, Volkanovski 2x, Oliveira are elite wins & great wins over the likes of Tibau, Tsarukyan, Hooker, Moicano and Maddalena.
What drugs are you on; saying Fedor constantly faced killers, Fedors lack of consistency in fighting elite competition is heavily criticized, Fedor has only ever faced two killers back to back in Arlovski & Sylvia. .

Heavyweight has notoriously low roster depth.
It is nowhere near as competitive and we've seen 1 or 2 skill fighters in the division for decades. These are simply not comparable to lower weight divisions, even today the UFC welterweight division has more than DOUBLE the roster depth of heavyweight, where we continue to shuffle around a lot of old fat dudes.

How someone with account from 2006 can be that degenerated by modern promo. Like do you really suggest that Makhachev resume is better? Makhachev which basically did not face single killer other than weight lighter 37 years old Volkanovski? + Makhachev also always had 8+ months between fights.
Fedor - HW GOAT which had 1-4 months before every fight - multiple times less than that (even multiple fights during one evening), faced absolute top of the top and legends of the sport have worse resume? Seriously?

i find it funny you saying these things when this thread is about Makhachev being compared to Fedor, yet Fedor has beaten more competition who were infinitely less skilled than him & fighters who were one dimensional “on their way out” Fedor is built on beating fighters who were on their way out a 28yr old Fedor beat a 40yr old Coleman twice and people in here are using that as a elite win, gtfo.

Fedor resume is overrated, Noguiera, Cro Cop, Arlovski and Sylvia are his best wins. Fedor fighting the top of the top? Lol. Sylvia and Arlovski are his ONLY S tier wins back to back, he fought a lot of unskilled older fighters who didn’t belong in the ring with him.
Lots of fighters has surpassed Fedor, Makhachev hasnt surpassed him imo, but he’s trending to if he defends a few times against elite comp. and not someone in triple digit rankings like Fedor did while he was Champion.

Poirier was never a world champion, he was never elite. Volk was a FW, do you know how weight divisions work or do you just ignore them? Volk is a midget who moved up. Makachev had a huge advantage. His resume is trash.

I dont agree with "midget which moved up" its bit too much, but yes, it was favourable matchup for Makhachev. Primarily because Volkanovski is not KO artist, anyone explosive with KO power can catch Makhachev as Martins did. Like i will repeat myself, but Makhachev had basicaly tailored opponents. Khabib + Ali advocated for him + Dana needed some "replacement" for Khabib.
