Islam has surpassed Fedor

But they were not stylistically risky matchups as others. Like who do you mean? Hooker? Its not stylistically risky fight for Makhachev. Topuria is explosive for example, this is risky fight. Theoretically Gaethej.

Now he will advocate to fight Usman - another favourable matchup. They will pad his record with 2 more easy wins - most likely vs managment co-members and then he will leave as "goat". Just wait and watch...
He just fought and beat a noted striker with power that was lauded for his scrambling and anti-wrestling ability after his last outing where he became champion, a weightclass up, like 4 hours ago. A guy a great many people, pro fighters included, thought would win. That was a risk.

I just don't think that if Islam had fought and beat Gaethje, you would have ranked it. You could easily just shove him into the favorable matchup box if you wanted to.

Who did he duck, in reality? Arman was always the biggest threat at LW, and he accepted that rematch after already beating him once already. Arman fucked that up.

I don't think he ducked Topuria. I think they both moved up when they felt they couldn't make the weight safely any more, and it just happened at the same time. Topuria didn't just move up to fight Islam, he pretty openly said he couldn't make FW anymore. Same thing for Islam. Now we are here.

We have never seen a fighter be this dominant in the modern era of mma. Fedor was fighting bums like yuji nagata and looking pretty mid if I gotta say, and now we have a guy like Islam who dominated the former p4p number 1 guy volk twice, and now he moves up in weight on short notice to destroy the dominant ww champ.

People have tried to sneak diss on islam for a hot minute now but these guys gotta realize that islam is a modern mma marvel. Its not often that we get to see a one of a kind historical greatness fighter like him taking out top guys across all weight classes. Fedor never did this, chuck never did this, nate diaz never did this, and we gotta agree that rich franklin never did this.

Just face the facts bro. Islam just proved he is the greatest fighter of all time. The world waits to see who hes gonna dominate next.
Ban.

"Noted striker" which couldn't finish Holland. Ulberg is aswell "noted striker" aight? :D Also worldclass striker aight? There are levels to it...and sorry but JDM is overrated, said it before fight and can clearly say it now again...

Also saying that Arman which lost to Gamrot and later ducked Gamrot and is co-member of same managment as Makhachev "is best win"...is absolutely comical.

Greatest fighter of all time?? <lol>

Islams 5 best wins

- Volk (fighting out of his weight class)
- Do Bronx
- Arman (22 years old btw lol)
- Dustin (1 fight before retirement lol)
- JDM (For all we know this dude might not be top 4-5 at WW)

Islam is a great fighter but everyone is always prisoner of the moment. Nobody thought JDM was even the best WW in the division. Very dominant performance, but he's not even close to being the greatest of all time. You're just rage baiting :)

If he can stick around and get a couple more quality wins, he will really enhance his resume and legacy. But he doesn't fight enough, so not really sure where he goes from here besides fighting a 38-39 year old Kamaru Usman if the UFC allows it etto happen.

@P4p Islam
No lies detected.

If Islam fights Ilia Topuria before retiring, and wins decisively, I'll say Islam is the 155/170 GOAT.

Islam I believe is the most well rounded fighter with elite level IQ to fight MMA.

Holland ain't exactly easy to put away on the feet. In fact it has never happened outside of the corner stoppage against Thompson. Not finishing Holland in a striking battle isn't the diss you seem to think it is.

There is levels to it. JDM was the sitting champion. The highest level of the division he competes in. Didn't earn it, Belal sucked, so on so forth, don't bother.

Ulberg is entirely irrelevant to the conversation, not sure why he was brought up.

Where does it say anything near "is best win" about anyone in the post you quoted?

its not Holland which faced Santos. Its Holland in WW which takes whatever fight without even knowing who is he fighting just to secure paycheck. Not breaking him at this point and being talked about as "top of the pyramid" fighter is comical. U all just "inflated" JDM resume cuz he was going to fight Islam...

With ur logic Nzechukwu got great resume cuz he ended Ulbergs xxx year unbeatable record...pure stupidity.

u said he was biggest threat in that division, which clearly means "best win" for me. Its simply same shit to me...BTW Arman is being portraited as that only because of promo and his training partners...

Here he goes again bringing up Ulberg. What did Ulberg do to you?

JDM was literally top of the pyramid five hours ago. That's what champions of a division are, whether you like it or not. Doesn't mean they are unbeatable, or the even necessarily the best, but it does mean they are the top...of the pyramid...of rankings.

He is great example for this. Ankalaev (Ali) aswell tried to belittle Pereira and instead of rematch fight "INSANELY DANGEROUS STRIKER AND BEST FIGHTER IN LHW AFTER HIMSELF" MR.Ulberg. - Better for legacy, etc... :D

Ali is smart rat and he knows how to please yall and make his fighter look so "great and powerfull". They did same with JDM/TOPURIA. - succesfully.

I wouldn't consider Arman his best win because of when it happened. They were both young. It was certainly a very good win, and proved both were future guys with elite skillsets.

Arman became the consensus biggest threat by the time Islam exited the division. Has nothing to do with their first fight, but how competitive it was definitely added to the intrigue assuming both progressed at similar paces.

I don't give a fuck about Ali or pay attention to anything he does or anything he says.

Personally i would wanna see islam drop down to fw and clear out that competition too
Nobody wants to see that and he could never make FW.

Id rather see him fight some WW who can actually wrestle.
