Yeah his legal status precludes him from having the gun to begin with. I've never said he shouldn't face the consequences for the citizenship stuff including being shipped back to where he came from. I just don't think that his criminal history or him carrying a gun the exact same way I do makes him a common scumbag criminal.
Seems like the immigration situation is being resolved and I'm not against that at all. I just don't see the need to portray the guy as a street thug.
True... he's more like the "Catch Me if you can" movie. Except he was using his talents to sexually harass women and drug dealing...lol
This is more of a story of the failure of the school board who didn't vet him properly...
And then kept him anyway when they found about him lying about have a doctorate and master's degree.
lol... Some of the details of his past
Roberts has a lengthy criminal and immigration history spanning nearly three decades. His criminal record began on July 3, 1996, in New York, where he was charged with criminal possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics, and possession of forged instruments. On November 13, 1998, he was charged in Queens, New York, with unauthorized use of a vehicle in the third degree; that case was later dismissed on July 6, 1999.
On November 1, 2012, Roberts was convicted in Maryland for reckless driving, unsafe operation of a vehicle, and speeding. Then on February 3, 2020, he faced multiple weapons charges, including second-degree criminal possession of a weapon for having a loaded firearm outside his home or business, third-degree possession of an ammunition feeding device, and fourth-degree weapons possession. A document dated February 4, 2020, indicated that the second-degree charge was classified as inchoate.
On January 20, 2022, he was convicted in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the unlawful possession of a loaded firearm. Later, on September 26, 2025, Roberts was arrested with a Glock 9mm pistol, a fixed-blade hunting knife, and $3,000 in cash in his possession. Just days after that arrest, on October 2, 2025, he was formally charged with being an illegal alien in possession of firearms.
Additionally, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, its civil division served Roberts a sealed restraining order from Jackson County, Missouri, in August 2023. It is unclear what prompted the restraining order since the order was sealed.
He was also discovered to be illegally registered to vote as a Democrat in Maryland, raising serious questions about the state’s voter registration system.
Before taking charge of the Des Moines public schools, he was superintendent of schools at Millcreek Township School District in Pennsylvania. During his time in leadership, the district was sued for sex discrimination by a male faculty member who claimed Roberts gave principal positions to less qualified women because of a "bias against males in favor of females." According to local outlet GoErie, this was not the only sex discrimination lawsuit the district faced while Roberts was in charge. The outlet reported the district had to pay over $400,000 in settlements to resolve three sex discrimination suits.
