He is also rumored to have been caught having sex with a female co-worker on school property in his previous role as a superintendent in rural Pennsylvania, a post he held from 2020 to 2023.
Former colleagues claimed to The Post that Roberts was a sketchy figure and pathological liar. They said they felt he was hired because of his diversity, equity and inclusion bona fides — and claimed that once on the job, he did little work.
“He was a player. He liked the women,” a source who knew Roberts, who asked not to be named, told The Post.
Another source expressed concern to the school board in Pennsylvania that Roberts might not be a legal resident based on casual comments he had made — but their concern was ignored, they said.
Roberts was superintendent of Millcreek Township schools near Erie, Pa., for three years.
During that time, the school district was inundated by lawsuits — and forced to pay out over $400,000 in sex discrimination settlements — claiming Roberts promoted less qualified women over more deserving men.
Even so, while Roberts publicly claims to have a wife, his former co-worker told The Post they had never met or seen her and wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t exist. Another person who knew Roberts said Roberts didn’t hide the fact he was actively on the wife hunt for immigration reasons.

Poor choice of words on my part. Still quite the hustle for the guy, that I almost respect it.
As I mentioned, he's a sympathetic figure if you look at the whole story. He accomplished more than most people in this country do, and he did it with the odds very much stacked against him. His crimes are not violent ones. The drug charge looks like he got caught with a pipe and dope and they charged him with intent. The gun charges are ticky-tack. I'd like this story to get more exposure.
From the graphic that keeps getting shared he wasn't actually convicted of anything other than traffic violations in 2012 and the one gun charge. Apparently that gun charge came from a game warden because the guy was hunting at the time. I quoted @cottagecheesefan when he first posted it, but of course he ignored it because it's clear the entire point is to make this guy seem like an evil criminal. I guess people don't bother actually reading his criminal history to see that he wasn't convicted of the majority of the list.

The grade fixing thing seems way more important than anything on the criminal history since he wasn't actually convicted of most of it. The article in the OP made it sound like he was improving the school system based on an increase in the test scores. If that part was him cheating the system then you can't really argue about how he deserves leniency for being great at his job.

I'd say carrying a pistol and a knife was him just continuing his LARP as an American citizen. Think it would have been perfectly legal in Iowa if he was who was pretending to be. I have a pistol and fixed blade knife in my vehicle at all times.They also found another firearm in his car.
