If Tom does not beat Ganes within 2 minutes then Jones will use this against him

As you know, that includes a DQ loss and an injury that he caused to himself 15 seconds into the fight, against a guy he rematched and stopped in the first round.

Why misrepresent things? do you consider Jons "loss" to Hamill to be legitimate?
Those are all worse than maybe possibly should've lost a 48-47 decision you won.

I know you guys really struggle with understanding than close decisions are a hell of a lot better than actual definitive losses. Unsurprising when everybody you're comparing to has been KO'd, subbed, cleanly lost decisions, etc.

LOL no, even if Tom takes 3 rounds or beats him clearly over 5 rounds. Doesn't change that Jon is responsible for the biggest duck in MMA history.

Being DQ'd or injuring yourself is not a definitive loss though. In fact it isnt a real loss at all because it has nothing to do with your opponent getting the better of you.

yes jon will definitely use that ammo

but everyone will remember than Jon held the belt... but refused to fight the #1 contender for years and then vacated.

now if Gane wins this weekend or at least takes it to a controversial split... i think aspinall fanclub is done. The argument that he could beat Jon wont have much to stand on

Im not sure why they feel the need to even make this argument or rather why, Jones has had one foot out the door for the last 5 years. It's not like beating him at HW where he's only fought twice would mean so much. Beating gane means MUCH MUCH more for tom. pretend that Tom and Jon fought and tom won 6 months ago, This match up would STILL be the next match up because these 2 are the best HW's on the roster currently. beating an aged champ of the next generation doesn't mean the same as beating the best fighters of your own generation. Most people will tell you that Merabs best win is umar, Not 9 time champion Jose Aldo

This would make sense if Jon hadnt stopped Gane inside 2 mins....

Took Jones 3 rounds to beat an old, semi-retired, inactive Stipe who was a shell of his former self, and he got tagged with a few solid shots in the process.

He should zip it no matter the outcome

Jon didn't do the fight and doesn't have shit to say no matter what the outcome is. I want Gane to at least give a good challenge to Tom and push him into the later rounds.

Tom was struggling badly in that DQ loss and got dropped twice.

And yet Jones declined to fight. There's literally only one thing that can ever change that fact - fighting Aspinall.

you make a very good point. John Morgan should raise this question with Tom at the press conference!

that is the best of all time. No matter what , history will look favourely at John's Legacy.
Tom Aspinall has to really show what he is all about on Saturday to change the narrative, and make it look like gane is no body, to assert the claim that he is better than Jon Jones.

Doesn’t change the fact that he ducked tom. No matter what happens Saturday

I've said before the only way Tom can win this fight is he wins in 3 minutes of 1st round, anything over that would be a win for Jones. Jones is the last thing the comments will be coming from as well, all of social media and this place will be thread after thread of how Jones has won. I know what its like lol.. this place will be filled with madness and fighting after saturday night (if Tom loses or if Tom doesn't win easily under 3 minutes). If Gane wins a point fighting decision which I what could happen then its gonna be war room in the forums lol

The problem is Tom is just a decent bloke who is not prone to talking shit or clowning anyone, even Jones. If I were him and I won that belt (doing a bit of LARPing here, bear with me), I would refuse to have it placed around my waist. I would make Dana lay it on the mat, spit on it, call it the belt of a coward who didn't have the balls to show up and defend it, say that belt is worthless and beneath him, and make a Conor-esque demand that the UFC make him a real belt befitting a real champ (this is all for show, he's obv going to take that belt at the end of the day).

And after that whole spectacle of alpha dominance, there wouldn't be shit Jon could say about anything. But Tom won't do that, and this whole storyline will continue as planned. Or Tom could just lose to Gane and we'll all have to get new screenames. Thanks Tom. Don't do that. We've all got a lot of skin in the game at this point, k buddeh?

Or Tom pieces up Gane on the feet, and then takes him down and submits him. Proving that he has both elite grappling and elite striking in the division.

I hope Aspinall wins. Can definitely can win, though. It only takes one punch at heavyweight.
