Joking aside, a car is a potentially lethal weapon. You only have to look at all the victims of ramming attacks by terrorists. Even if the woman simply panicked and lost control, the ICE officer would be justified in using lethal force if she was putting his and other people's lives in danger.

If an LEO attempts to detain someone, and that person escalates the situation to the point where the LEO's life is in danger, then lethal force is perfectly legal.

That’s the only clip I’ve seen so far, but that seemed excessive. ICE dude (whom it’s not even clear that she saw) not only was able to get out of the way of the vehicle easily, but was able to shoot the poor woman dead first and still get out of the way of the vehicle easily.

Do we know anything about her history or why she was being stopped? Most immigration issues are either civil or misdemeanors, was she a wanted violent felon that posed a danger to society at large or something?

Edit: it seems like she was a protester and not an immigrant they were targeting? Let her disperse then, who gives a fuck? Terrible.

I haven't seen the video yet, so I don't know if it's a clean shoot. I was pointing out that the ICE Agent could have been aggressive, but still legally correct to use lethal force.

It's hard to tell from the video where the agent was, but given that he was out of view, it stands to reason he was in front of the car, and she did drive at him. That's a greenlight. Your car is a deadly weapon and will be treated as such if you use it as such.

There is little doubt it’s a justified shooting, but I don't like this type of officer-created jeopardy. Using your body to block egress as a lethal-force tripwire isn't good policing.

I posted another angle showing the front of the SUV and you can clearly see that the agent is already on the side of the SUV then starts shooting.

From this view I'm not sure how this ICE dude would get in any trouble. He's clearly in the front of the car here, and shoots while moving out the way and gets grazed by the car. Need more context on why were they approaching the car in the first place, why did she hit the gas on them, etc, but I don't think he's getting in trouble seeing this view.

video CLEARLY shows the LEOs life was never in danger, the tires were facing opposite direction of the agent when acceleration happened.

Don’t even bother with that guy. He just loves seeing this shit happen. We have to accept that there are just many evil people in this country and consider them lost causes. My thinking is we should spend energy on independents or non MAGA republicans instead. I don’t even bother arguing with the MAGA posters anymore. I mean think about it for a minute. Has one ever changed their mind like ever? Not that I’ve seen. Waste of time

You are telling me, she drove her car at him? you can see where the tires are facing, she literally has them facing OPPOSITE of the agents when acceleration happens.

Well, I've seen two videos now. And it was a clean - I don't want to use the word "good" in this context - shoot. The ICE Agent who fired the shots was in front of her car when she drove towards him. Which means lethal force was justified.

Her actions don't appear to be deliberate. More like she panicked. However, the ICE Agent would only have seconds to react and protect himself. Her motivation wouldn't be a factor in his decision making process.
