Neither does MAGA though as evidenced by Trumps criminal record, his pardoning of more than a thousand of his goons his first day in office, and his unlawful deportations under the Alien Enemies Act.

The issue is that in the MAGA mind "law and order" refers not to rule of law but to the wielding of government force against designated out-groups like immigrants and protesters.

For what it's worth, the Executive Branch is the Law since they are then enforcers of it, on a technical level. Courts have no real power if they can't enforce their rulings.

It kinda does though right? Explains why communities in these states have such deep cultural and economic ties to Mexico.

Funny enough Northern Mexico has more roads connecting it to the US than it does to the rest of Mexico. Northern Mexico and the Southwest United States are really one geographic, cultural zone split in two by the border. In fact there's at least one town that is split down the middle by the border with one part in the US and one in Mexico.

This is why its only natural that there are so many Mexicans and Mexican Americans there.

For what it's worth, the Executive Branch is the Law since they are then enforcers of it, on a technical level. Courts have no real power if they can't enforce their rulings.

That doesn't mean the executive branch is above the law though, they're still bound by it. Sure the president can ignore the courts if he wants but that'd be a violation of his oath to the Constitution.

To be fair I don't know how @fingercuffs feels about law and order and it's probably the case that you're misrepresenting her, I was just making it clear that MAGA is not a party of law and order either given how much they love criminals.

I understand the heritage aspect. It's just people keep saying it like those people have some kind of claim to the place today. I mean what do they want us to do, give it back to Mexico? That's kind of the impression I've gotten from browsing around here.

No side is devoid of criminals so it's a silly point to hang your hat on. Criminals exist amongst all spectrums of the political aisle. I wouldn't even know how to begin quantifying those numbers if it became some sort of contest.

Losing elections have consequences. Everybody knew this going in, or well I did. You did too I'm pretty sure.

I'm also pretty sure I warned you that hostilities and dishonest conversations without any aim for good faith productivity between left and right would lead to these extreme type of outcomes. But you were all for either being all in on the left and kicking the middle to the curb and flipping the bird to the right. Oh well.

I dont know what they care about but there's a world of difference between setting a few cars on fire vs attempting to overthrow the US government like your team did.

People riot when they’ve exhausted other methods of getting their needs met. So I see riots as a symptom of the fact that our government is letting people down.
