Where are all the know it alls that thought Tom would beat Francis?

OK you seem pretty deluded. It was a close round and Gane somehow managed to land another dirty blow. Couldn't reach the back of his head to land a hammerfist so he has to eye gouge.

Gane eeked out a 10-9 round and who knows what happens if the round actually gets completed? Why did Gane have to resort to eye gouging? You are acting like the fight was clearly over and it was just a matter of time. It was razor thin and Gane doesn't have any power in his striking relatively speaking. Tom didn't look gassed at all to me.

Show me where he was gasping for air?

No sir, you are deluded. You look at 30-27 in sig strikes and deem it about even. That's bullshit. They count shots where someone's head snaps back as a sig strike and count less impactful strikes with the same label. It's clear to see that majority of clean work was done by Gane. Plus, Gane had all the momentum and Tom was fading badly. If you don't see that, I don't know what to tell you.

Gane was beating Ngganou in the standup too. Francis had to resort to becoming a wrestler to beat him.

i love threads like this that make up narratives to get mad at. bro, go outside, touch grass

This guy?

I mean, he still might? He was on his way to losing a 10-9 round against a multiple time championship contender. Does that mean he's suddenly washed or something? lol

Nice.

That's because he literally had 1 good knee, which has been well documented. Still, Francis showed heart and found a way to win... compare that to Aspinall last night saying I quit with 1 minute left on his timeout.

No, it means he's not as good and people were hyping him up to be, which I clearly stated in the OP. Nice strawman though.

Still might? If he fights like that against Francis with that amateur boxing, Francis KOs him inside 2 rounds easy work.

I was saying the same thing about Tom before he was exposed last night. So how is that a knee jerk reaction?
Using 4 and a half minutes in a no decision bout to make a broad conclusion about how another hypothetical match up would go wherein the other fighter also lost the first round to the same guy is a kneejerk reaction. And a dumb one at that.

No, actually I had the same take before this fight because we haven't seen the evidence of this supposed superior boxing, power, and GOAT level MMA skills like the media machine was hyping him up to be. You have a fighter, Tom, who doesn't take his head off the centerline much going against a guy who has GOAT HW knockout power and outboxed and dropped Tyson Fury. It's simple analysis 101.

Last night merely strengthened that position. Francis has way more proven skills and track record... It's like calm down; your boy beat some guys in a dead HW division
(Blaydes, Volkov, Pavlo) that would be lucky to be top 10 in any other decent era.

So what he showed you in there negates his whole other body of work? People could see him beating Ngannou using the skills he's displayed in those other fights. I don't see how him losing a 10-9 to a guy like Gane counts as some knock against Aspinall's ability. People are just pissed off at him for how the fight ended.

It's easy to watch him move and see his boxing isn't as high level as people were making it out to be. He's extremely hittable, and that doesn't bode well going against Francis. It's simple... anybody objective would have seen this but unfortunately, the media propaganda and rabbid UK fanboys have deluded people.

Are we pretending Tom sucks now because Gane survived much of the 1st round by running and jabbing? Because that's a pretty hard cope.

Lemme guess you're the same buttboi that's was celebrating blaydes when he "beat" Tom the first fight or Edwards when he beat Belal too right? Keep that same after the rematch, don't disappear

Where did I say he sucked? The strawmans are off the chain in this place.

How many more posts do you have than me, and I'm being told to go outside? Lmao 5k posts in over a decade, I must be on this forum all the time!

Actually, people were literally arguing with me in threads about this a couple of months back, which I why I made the thread. You can look it up, but instead, you seem to be lazy and like to talk shit.
