That’s historically always been the biggest problem with heavyweight. There’s not that many people to fight.

Simple, strip Jon of the belt and let Tom fight for the title. Jon can have a few fun fights before he retires. The UFC letting the heavyweight title linger is ridiculous. Jon needs to shit or get off the pot(to quote my grand-mom).

I didn't know they were supposed to fight in 2023? Based on what exactly. Can you take me through your logical thought process to get to this conclusion. Since you are into *facts*, I provided you an actual fight date/activity timeline, I then proceeded to say even if he was out for 2 years it was still too long. This is so weird to me. Read my very first quote to you.

Nobody whose been out for that long should be anywhere near the title. Nohody whose been out for 2 years should be anywhere near one in modern times, especially when there are plenty of viable alternatives

The logical thought process:

I said that when the fight was signed, Stipe was ranked #3.

Stipe was ranked #3 when the fight was signed. Which was a little over 2 years from his last fight. By time he was "inactive for 3.67 years" he was no longer the #3 contender. You claimed he was both (that's how the word "and" works). 3.67 years inactive, and #3 contender. Those two things did not coincide with each other.

YOU ARE STILL SAYING THAT, even with your most recent post.

So it's clear you didn't know when Stipe signed, or you were and ARE oblivious to what the rankings were during relevant spots on that timeline.

Really sucks to be a HW since there are no real options for them except boxing.
They are just to rare to be viable in global MMA.
