How much money is Jones trying to ask for to fight Tom?

For a dude who drops $10k a night on casinos and an untold amount on booger sugar, there's no such thing as "fuck you" money

It'll be at least 15 Million. Allegedly (I don't have irrefutable proof), Brock Lesnar made 8 Mil in 2001 for UFC 200, and using an inflation calculator, that's about 14 Million in 2024. So, I'm thinking that Jones will want to top that. I'll go out on a limb and say 20 Million.

10 Mil he will ask, actually 15 Mil.
15 Mil he will ask three days a week. One of these days he will ask 15 Mil two days of the week. So, 20 Mil a week he will ask.

However much it takes to make the UFC decline so he doesn't have to fight Tom, and can say it's because he was lowballed.

I'm not sure if an actual figure exists. He could accidentally hit some absurd amount he didn't they would pay and end up taking the fight. But with the ufcs track record of being cheap enough to allow it to stop legendary fights from being booked, I doubt it.

Couldn’t imagine a world where 30mill doesn’t get the fight done. It would give Jon a payday that is worthy of risking an undefeated GOAT legacy over against a young hungry HW who is in incredibly dangerous but is an extremely low draw by comparison. Anything less than that genuinely isn’t worth it. I know that most of you would argue against this stance but it’s the reality. Jon is the one with everything to lose, he’s already fought and beat the best for almost 2 decades at this point they need to show him the $$$. The UFC can afford it for one of their biggest stars and indisputably the best MMA fighter of all time to make what Dana himself said “would be the greatest MMA matchup of all time”.
The rare voice of reason in a sea of hate

If anyone knows, it's for sure the people that post here.

“FU money” = “Stop asking me to fight Tom” = >$30M?
I bet they’re just about ready to move mountains to make the fight happen.
But whatever their final offer is, Jones will price himself over that.
Then Dana will come out, Jon sucks he was never any good, scared of Tom, Tom is the man, greatest of all time, pound for pound great, etc.

One MILLION dollars!

Same as he wanted for Francis, enough that it'll never happen and he can claim it's just the UFC holding it up not him.

But that's not what happened though. Jon kept negotiating and signed a new deal with money he was happy with. He was slotted for UFC 285 under his new deal, the UFC proposed the fight to Francis in early 2023 in contract and Francis declined. It's not on Jon or the UFC.

Does anyone have an idea of how much Jones is asking for a fight with Tom? What is fuck you money? How much do you think the UFC should pay him
Fuck you money

No idea but he's asking for way more than they'll give him I'd imagine, it's a way of ducking someone.

I have no idea how much Jon wants but I have to laugh at guys like Luke Thomas saying he doesn’t deserve “fuck you” money after spending years talking about how underpaid UFC fighters are compared to boxers. Just pure comedy.

His magic number is probably 50m.
If UFC offers 50m, Jon would fight Aspinall.

So you're saying what happened was Jones, who did fight at 285, had taken 37 months off to renegotiate his new contract? He relinquished his 205 belt in mid 2020 and said he wanted Francis, but wanted "Deontay Wilder" money, or roughly $30,000,000 to fight him.

Francis fought out his contract, and it was at that point only the UFC and him severed ties over pay, health insurance, sponsorship, and a fighter advocate with him during negotiations. The UFC did absolutely not wait until 2023 to offer him the Jones fight, and Francis himself said "As far as I’m concerned, it was Jon Jones that didn’t want to fight me — according to them. So many times we sit down on the meeting, [they said,] ‘Oh, it can’t happen, Jon Jones doesn’t want to fight anymore. He’s living in Albuquerque, he’s living his small life, he has a lot of money in his bank account.’" He did also note that of course Dana said it the other way now that he was no longer with the promotion. I hate to infer anything about Francis, but based on Jon's behaviour in regards to Aspinall I have to agree with Francis side of the story, seeing as it is being repeated right now in front of our eyes with another fighter.

He'd make more money right Alex then Tom. Alex is the hottest thing in MMA currently. Tom is relatively unknown to the public
