How much money is Jones trying to ask for to fight Tom?

So you're saying what happened was Jones, who did fight at 285, had taken 37 months off to renegotiate his new contract? He relinquished his 205 belt in mid 2020 and said he wanted Francis, but wanted "Deontay Wilder" money, or roughly $30,000,000 to fight him.

Francis fought out his contract, and it was at that point only the UFC and him severed ties over pay, health insurance, sponsorship, and a fighter advocate with him during negotiations. The UFC did absolutely not wait until 2023 to offer him the Jones fight, and Francis himself said "As far as I’m concerned, it was Jon Jones that didn’t want to fight me — according to them. So many times we sit down on the meeting, [they said,] ‘Oh, it can’t happen, Jon Jones doesn’t want to fight anymore. He’s living in Albuquerque, he’s living his small life, he has a lot of money in his bank account.’" He did also note that of course Dana said it the other way now that he was no longer with the promotion. I hate to infer anything about Francis, but based on Jon's behaviour in regards to Aspinall I have to agree with Francis side of the story, seeing as it is being repeated right now in front of our eyes with another fighter.
No the UFC and Jon reached an agreement to have him fight Francis. At first Francis cited money and wanting to box as demands he needed. Then Francis KEPT asking for crazy demands. Lifetime health insurance. Then he wants his own independent sponsors. That was never happening. The UFC signs EXCLUSIVE sponsorship deals. And now your being sneaky and disingenuous. he didn't ask for a fighter's representative to help him negotiate. He has a manager for that. He wanted a fighter's representative on the UFC's EXECUTIVE BOARD. You know the board that actually runs the UFC. The people who answer to shareholders. The board that dana white is the face and mouth too. A snowball had a better chance surviving 6 hours in a 400 degree oven then of that happening. And Francis knew it. It wasn't about money or the demands. Francis was leaving the UFC NO MATTER WHAT. He didn't want to fight Jon.

Y'all hate Jon so much you've suspended critical thinking. Francis made demands that ultimately made it IMPOSSIBLE for him to fight.

First things first, Jon at no point asked for 30 million to fight Francis. Jon himself has disputed that in the media and said he never asked for 30 million.

What Jon did say after Ngannou won the title in 2021 is that he had a brief conversation with Hunter Campbell where the UFC suggested 8-10 million and Jon said that would too low for a fight of this level. Jon was still under his 8 fight deal he signed as a LHW and was looking to change the terms of that deal when moving up to HW and change the percentages around. All Jon was doing between April 2021 and December 2022 was renegotiating his deal and Francis was doing the same thing for all of 2022 after the Gane fight.

And yes, the UFC did offer him the fight in early 2023. They had a call Jan 10th, 2023 and offered Francis the Jones fight for 285 and a 3 fight deal. You can see it yourself here from the man himself. He talks about how they reached out to him as they needed to make a fight for March 4th, UFC 285, they offered a 3 fight deal, no extension.

Starts at 8 mins.

Today he could ask for $20 million.

Tomorrow they could offer him $20 million. But tomorrow, Jones will ask for $30 million.

They could offer him $30 million, but then he wants $50 million.

He will always price himself out of this fight imo

Damn! Some of you guys really are on drugs if you believe the UFC is guaranteeing him 10-15 million dollars lol.

I don't think Jon Jones is a big enough draw to realistically justify the kind of money he wants. At best the UFC will give him a higher base salary and more PPV points. But I can't see him earning more than 50% more than he did for UFC 309.

they offered nganou 8 - 14 million but nganou declined

im pretty sure jones the GOAT fighter
who has the best of the best resume all time

is worth more than 14 million
lets say 25 million?

jones made 13.6 million in his stipe fight
nganou earned 10 million in 1 boxing fight plus brain injury
Ngannou's last fight earned 16-20 million not including sponsorship money.

For Jones purse to be that high, you're basically assuming the PPV sold a million buys.

If he made 30 mils thus farm. 10 mils is realistic.

I think he got scared recently that Alex and Tom may fight, that is main Dana's leverage, so Jones is stuck, he will take what Dana proposes or he may not fight anymore.

Jones wants to be the first to end Alex's run, and than to fight Tom.

If Jones waits for Tom vs Alex, he probably gets Tom anyway, and then he is lost opportunity to be the first to fight Alex.

My theory goes to water, if Alex continues to kill people. :), but Dana does not want Alex to loose, he is the main star now.

A number he knows the UFC won't accept so he can pull the "I was willing to fight Tom but Dana is too cheap" card.
