Tom Aspinall’s best career win.

And it's not just that. It's not any one thing. It's how he handled the whole situation.

Said Stipe was it, but then changed his mind. Wanted Alex because it was an easier fight and he had more name value than Aspinall. Then Alex loses. Jones then comically tries to sell nonstop (as do some low IQ muppets here like that mind mine or whatever guy) that "nobody cares about Aspinall, he's a nobody, blah blah blah". To the point where he was getting up and walking out on interviews because he was tired of answering questions about Tom.

Newsflash to Jones and his sycophants: If you're exhausted and frustrated with being bombarded with questions about why you're ducking a guy, that means people actually DO care about that guy and want to see that fight. It's just pure fantasy that it wasn't the biggest fight that could be made in MMA. ESPN First Take did 15+ minutes talking about it when Jones announced his retirement. Showing Aspinall highlights, talking about Jones ducking Tom. This isn't Bloody Elbow, its f'ing Stephen A Smith on the most watched sports network in the world. People pretending like it was "just another fight" for Jones are straight up delusional.
Very good point

I’m one of jones biggest fans …..there was clearly some doubt he could beat Aspinall…..Tom Younger , bigger and stronger….plus some hard working and dedicated, I don’t think his gas tank will empty in a few rounds and if it does could 38 year old overweight jones even exploit it

PS: I think Mark Kerr fought more credible HWs when he became UFC Champion back in 1960 or whenever. 😂
Lol. I know you're joking but Kerr faced some of the easiest competition imaginable the first half of his career. 200-pound Moti Horenstein the kickboxer, "Ranger" Stott who made up his own martial arts syle, Bobish was probably his toughest early opponent. Kerr used a "chin to eye" submission to win that was immediately banned after that fight.

Prime Dan Bobish > Curtis Bladyes and 59 year old AA.

I think most non-biased observers would agree its between the following two opponents:

1) Sergei Pavlovich

OR

2) Curtis Blaydes

Now lets delve deeper…

Pavlovich’s best win in the UFC is Curtis Blaydes and his most relevant losses in the UFC include aged-Overeem and Volkov.

Blaydes best win in the UFC (prior to fighting Tom the 2nd time) was either aged-JDS or aged-Overeem and his most relevant losses include Derrick Lewis and quick KO loss to Ngannou.

Examining the above, how can ANYONE argue that Tom has MUCH to prove??

The sample size is much too small and seeing threads daily about how Tom scared off Jones is off the charts ridiculous with Tom’s body ot work.

His best win was arlovski and arlovski was whooping him on the striking.

Needs to fight gane to clear out the division.

Then set up the super fight with poatan.

Maybe there’s a 1% chance Jones fights him at the white house.
