There is no “truth in the matter”. Jon himself spends his days on Twitter coming up with excuses on why he shouldn’t have to fight Tom. He calls out everyone from Pereira to Derrick Lewis but will never, ever mention getting in there against Tom. Tom is the fight that has to be made and he very clearly wants none of it.

at this point it almost feels like the UFC pays off shills to create narratives to defend Jon's blatant ducking on social media n forums like this. What would be the ideal waiting period for Aspinall now?

In my opinion, 3 months to have a contract signed and 6 months for unification (with a guaranteed reserve fighter).

If Jones refuses within 3 months, the title will be stripped.

If he withdraws from the fight twice, the title will also be stripped.

3 months and a fight within 3 to 6 is damn near a year how's UFC garenteed him 3 fights per year these guys camps are like 14 weeks these days.. don't know many fighters who are doing 3 a year ...

If they don't get something inked by March I'm gonna have to stop caring.. that would mean a fight around May June or July then it would mean that's there only fight for the year pretty much unless they can do December.. lol

Way to stall out a division of guys trying to move and earn money.. 1 fight a year and you have the belt is just shameful..
