Problem with this fight as a whole is that there’s a good chance Khamzat doesn’t even make it. As much as I can’t stand DDP he is the champ and he gets to dictate certain things, we all know how shady it is to fight in Abu Dhabi against these Muslim fighters.

Im a big fan of DDP and i have to say I'd be seriously worried him about him fighting Chimaev.

- He's different to other fighters qnd his grqppling and speed and subs might just be too much in Rd1 for DDP to handle.

From what I understand the cards are scheduled up to UFC 316, which is supposedly going to be Merab vs O'Malley rematch. UFC 317 is the big fight week card in Vegas, which definitely should be DDP vs Chimaev. The only question is whether chimmy can get into the USA. With Trump being so pro-dictator and Dana White's friend, I could see it happening.

Tom is the most exciting of the whole bunch. Francis has the scary power. Jones the fight IQ.
Chimiev vs Usman was ok but not great.
DDP vs Strickland was meh.

Tom is a great HW in a not so great division
Jon is well past his prime and still clearly better than nearly the entire division, if not the entire division.

Khamzat is as exciting to watch as anyone in the game right now
DDP is in his prime and brings it every fight.

Tom beating Jon at this stage doesn't mean nearly as much to me as beating him 6 or 7 years ago would IMO.

This is to me why it's far easier to get excited about Khamzat vs DDP and Tom vs Jon

Khamzat is exciting but in his prime hardly fighting after a crazy start when he came in.
