They hide and lie about shit all the time, they are in the business of PR when it comes to protecting certain fighters - Conor’s sexual assault/rape allegations, Jones beating his wife/PEDs, etc.

They can’t book stars in big fights if it makes them look bad for promoting dudes that are morally reprehensible, so they do what they have to do to cleanse the palate with obfuscation and lies.
