Based on what? Illia can defend himself on the ground and get back to his feet, and on the feet he only needs one good shot. This is a much riskier fight for Arman than for Illia.

1. Money
2. More Money
3. Even more money
4. Everything else.

Each top ranked fighter should take care of themselves and Paul Felder, while I like him generally speaking, can f$ck off. Fighter's careers are short and the UFC is a business. Fighters should treat their career as a business and be smart.

Just because we are fans of a particular fighter, we don't have to defend every single mistake they make.

I'm honestly just curious in what you see in Arman or Topuria. It doesn't matter if it's an opinion. We're not having a scientific debate here.

For me it's that Arman's fight with Charles didn't impress me that much. If Charles can survive and land some shots I think Ilia can too, but with much more severe consequences when he lands.

Topuria will fight Tsarukyan next. They both beat the same former champ in their last fight. One got a belt for it the other got a title shot but had to pull out from an injury. Make it happen. No excuses.

The first time I noticed this was last year when so many fans were happy about Rountree getting the title shot over Ankalaev.

I think it mainly comes down to guys like Ilia and Alex being fan favourites so some people just want to see them continue to win, even if it’s against subpar competition.
