Yeah, he's a fighter - he's not a public relations spokesperson for the UFC. He has been bombarded with Tom questions since he moved to HW, and has said all he needs to on the matter. He also, most likely, is in negotiations for taking this fight, in which case, he would be wise not to discuss it publicly.

He doesn't owe anybody interviews, unless he is at a UFC press conference or media day obligation. For the reasons mentioned above, combined with the fact that he was walking into a room full of British accents, he made a mature, GOAT decision to walk out, as I stated originally.

From a legal standpoint, Tom can't bypass the contract that Stipe already signed, nor can the UFC. They legally have to finish the fight in the contract or offer Stipe something else that he's willing to take, which he was not.

Love how people just make shit up to fit their own viewpoint. Contracts have specific dates and places and shit on them. You think they fought under the original contract because no one could get out of it? It became void when the fight was scrapped. They had to sign and negotiate all over again for the second fight and by that time Tom was the interim champ, and that's the fight that should have been signed.

I do think the UFC won't let Jon fight anyone else at HW now unless it is Tom. But I wonder how long they will let Jon hold the division hostage before they actually do something if the fight isn't booked.

I miss old Jones — in some aspects like rougher answers in some interviews, ofc — who'd actually say something like "man, I don't really like you as an interviewer, I think you suck and you are here to entertain a conversation, when I've already made it clear that I'm focused on who I'll be fighting next, not on someone who hasn't been able to get my dick out of his mouth for more than a year... Hold your wishes that I will talk about it when I've fought Stipe" ....
