JJ vs Reyes might be just like JJ vs Aspinall

Those aren't real. We watched the fight and saw whose hand was raised. In an alternative universe Reyes won, just like Alex Pereira defeated Ankalaev in an alternative reality. Not in the reality we are on, though
In alterative universe Dana is either kingping or prof x. Or maybe vulture.

Or the red skull

Yes Jones will preform like his worst fight just for Jones haters. The guy that fought OSP and Santos is who will show. Ignore Aspinall's TDD and cardio and knee problems. Also ignore the giant list of fighters Jones destroyed the whole fight.
The man who's never gassed or been taken down in the UFC has cardio and takedown defence problems?
The criticism of Tom for being head and shoulders clear of the competition is mental. The equivalent would be criticising a sports team who win every game by 100 points by claiming they can't win a close game.

The man that has been untested vs the one who has. Especially when that guy has had a knee problem.

The knee problem may play up, but it's only caused him problems in one fight, and he reckons it's been fixed.
The idea that a guy been so far ahead of his peers indicates weakness I don't get. If Aspinall having much less ability wouldn't make him a better fighter.

Still, ever since the knee injury in the first Blaydes fight, Tom has never defended a takedown or took someone down

OP sounds manic

and no, Reyes vs Jones was not some hugely hyped fight. Jones was a -450 favorite heading into it.

I also don't think there is any way Aspinall could last 5 rounds. His average fight time is like 2 minutes. He's either going to flatline jones early... or wilt and finished later.

Also watched Matt Hammil's hand raised vs Jones. When they announce Jones in his intro, what does Buffer say his record is?

i feel like Jon is more untested than Aspinall is. Aspinall has beaten the majority of the HW division, Jon has fought 2 guys. 1 guy was already retired when he fought him.

That's fair enough especially at HW. But if we zoomed out and seen each of their skills tested, that Jon's more proven in that regard. Still against guys who some made MW.

I want to see the fight for sure, I'm just saying people are overlooking Jones because he for sure brings a different kind of fight than Tom has seen.

Not reading any of this fantasy scenario. So Reyes and Aspinal are undefeated. They literaly aren't similar phisically nor style wise. Not reading any of that. And Aspinal best most of the division, Reyes was just the next contender.

Mu friend, what on earth are you talking about? I cant be the only one who had a stroke reading this
Lol I know that's an old comment but what's the stroke slang meaning? As in, laughing at it being ridiculously funny or because it was just very bad?

Damn... I forgot how bad both guys looked in this fight. Love that Buckley is on the Aspinall train too.

Well, if you nitpick some highlights, you might think that.

Funny that if ppl pay attention, the first punch shown there that caught JJ wasn't slow at all, it was actually a very sharp feint with a fake left hand followed by a sharp right hook. The other one didn't hit JJ. Neither did the third rush from Stipe. The uppercut was a smart play by Stipe, where was the uppercut hand movement slow there? The straight right one was a direct straight right hit, sure, but Stipe wasn't slow, he was smart... He feinted an uppercut motion, knowing JJ's tendency to lower his left arm when Stipe changed levels and capitalized that to land a neat right hand instead. The last one, he clinched JJ kinda in a desperate attempt (he was already on his last legs there) and took advantage to hit JJ right into JJ's ear...

JJ hit Stipe 3 times over the amount he was hit though. Plus, Stipe is one of the biggest power punchers in HW. Just one right hand that hit properly would end the night of many HWs, like Werdum, Overeem... JJ didn't even show shaken legs, wobbliness or anything even when Stipe managed to get two straight right hands that connected solidly. If anything, it should show you how much of a chin JJ has. As Shavkat said, Jon Jones has the best chin out of any fighter he has ever seen.

People bash Tom’s wins against guys like Pavlovich or Blaydes like Jon wouldn’t duck them too. Jon only wants gimme fights

There wasn't a chance in hell that Jones would have ever stepped into the ring with Pavlovich before Aspinall KO'ed him. Just like he was never going to get into the ring with Ngannou. And like he won't get into the ring with Aspinall.

Jones won't get into the ring with anybody that he doesn't think he has a clear advantage over. He wouldn't even fight DC at HW after he'd beaten him twice at LHW (with the help of steroids). He would have been double champ and made far more money. Still wouldn't do it because he said "DC has too many advantages at HW."

Goat? Lmao

but but but HIS FIGHT IQ

Weird, when everybody use to go on about Jon's fight IQ, I thought they mean his fight IQ while actually fighting. Now I realize that what they meant all along was that his fight IQ is "Never sign for a fight that you have a chance of losing."
