Islam has surpassed Fedor

Fedor was the absolute best in the world though. There was no one on any roster who could beat him.

Islam is protected by his weight class. There would be at least 30-40 active fighters who would absolutely destroy him due to power level differences. With Fedor there was NOBODY.

Nah. Most UFC champs are a complete joke. That’s why you have ex-champions like Woodley who got humiliated by that Paul brother. You’d think a champ of the best mma promotion in the world could outbox some schmuck, but turns out most mma guys can’t box for shit.

I remember when they said mma was the closest thing to a "real" fight, but the UFC has so many rules now that it’s pretty damn far from one. Grapplers dominate when they should get KTFO by decent strikers. Any mid-tier pro boxer with some takedown defense training would run through the roster and expose how much of a farce it has become. Too bad the pay is too shit for this to happen.
CTE from Coping 😂

Bums like Nogueira, Cro Cop, Randleman, Coleman, Lindland, Sylvia… the best guys at the time.

Islam is fighting randos because the sport is a ghost of what it was before. It had a crazy trajectory for awhile, but it’s regressing for the first time since maybe ever.

He’s not Fedor. You can’t even compare them. I’m not even a fanboy of him specifically, but I am of that era, which was far more entertaining and the rules favored excitement and a deeper understanding of fighting.
Exactly. In the golden era fights were actually fights in pride

Fedor fought the best Mak wether he cherry picks or bad luck hasn't. Mak isnt even near Fedor in status

So constantly fighting killer which they put infront of u - Randleman, Coleman, Nogueira, Hunt, Cro-cop, Arlovski, Overeem is less than beating 37 year old Volkanovski out of his weight class, beating basically reitred Poirier and Oliveira is more than Fedors record.

Are yall serious? U are either trolling or u have "meme" instead of brain.
I like that the first 2 "killers" you listed were randleman and coleman.

Lmao bro

Get with the program at least.

Islam just dominated a bigger champ after nuking his previous division. What logic is this bird brain?

Islam is great but he is not close to Fedor imo. Fedor was an undersized dude banging HW killers for 10 years unbeaten
Lol at HW killers, easily the worst HW division and in the running for most shallow division of all time.

Fedor was fun but after you get past his big 3 wins Nog, Cro and AA you start grasping at straws pumping up guys like Coleman, Tim etc .. all who were obviously on the down slope of their career. The 1st big killer he fought who had well rounded skills that he couldn't catch literally mauled him when he was only 33 years old, *Big Foot*. Sorry the goat doesn't lose a lop sided beat down for almost 10 minutes to Big Foot at 33 years old.

I can roll with best HW ever due to luck of the depth at HW which is the most shallow division in MMA since the start. Big athletes go to other sports especially in 90s/2000s because it was easy for a huge HW to make money in other aports. He is the Ronda of HW 😅 Lucky to make it to the party so early imo.

No he hasn''t. Fighting at HW is much more risky. Way bigger chance of 1 punch KO especially as an undersized HW.

Also, Fedor used standup against Mirko, groundgame against prime Nog etc.

Absolute monsters which were juiced out of their minds. They would most likely be at top of pinnacle nowdays....and if u saying opposite ur lying urself. - Both of these wins have more value than any of Makhachev wins.

BTW both of them are in UFC's HOF and are considered legendary mma fighters...slap urself for disrespecting Randleman.

imagine getting GOAT status by beating an aussie with a mullet.

whats the world coming to?

This is the absolute worst take I’ve heard in a long time. And that’s saying something for sherdog. TS has spent too much time in the bathtub.

Islam got caught already too.

Nuking a FW 2x and mid Moicano? 😂 🤡 Dude left the weight class when the best LW challenge presented itself. Still plenty of wood to chop there.

Big awkward Tim who was getting knocked around by a 40 years old man half his size a few fights prior and knocked out in under a minute by an out of shape boxer in his first MMA fight in his next ?
Middleweight Lindland, who he needed the ropes not to get taken down by ?
1 dimensional wrestlers with awful submission defence Coleman and Randleman, who still easily took him down ?

Those are the exemple you want to use to show that Fedor fought the best of the best in the golden age of MMA ?
