Fedor's ability to cover distance and cause horrific damage is second to none.

I was thinking about this since Tom Aspinall fight against Sergei.

Like clockwork, the Fedor stans come out whenever a relevant HW fight happens.

Thank you for at least being honest that you specifically made a random Fedor thread precisely because you felt threatened by a new HW champion.

The dude literally fought this year and you guys are still living in 2006.

Sad.

Aspinall is amazing

but so is Fedor.

Deal with it.

Never stray from the way.

The way is Fedorism.

It is clear.

Fedor was literally Bellator's #2 HW this year, in 2023 and 17 years after you guys suck his cock, and you all don't give a fuck.

You're not Fedor fans. You're just nostaglics.

As proven by this very thread as Fedor's fastest hands ever displayed weren't against Cro Cop or Arlovski but probably a decade later against Chael in 2018.

You guys just have no idea about this because none of you actually give a shit about his actual career.

War Fedor.

If that isnt what you are saying,Get back in the school locker, pointdexter.

Yet Fedor looked to have better speed and timing in their sparring video
Timing? Absolutely. Fedor had far more refined technical skills. Pure physical speed? Honestly, I think Aleks was probably faster. But Fedor was obviously fast as fuck.

That overhand right was faster than it had any right to be.

I'm an actual fan which is why I appreciate Fedor's longevity instead of pretending literally 14 years of his career doesn't exist like the fake fans do.

Presumptive argle bargle

Aspinall's hand speed is far above all the old HW's. They weren't even legit sized HW's either.

Pridecels cope so hard with these topics. Fedor vs Aspinall would be such a hilarious mismatch.

I'd say Arlovski during his prime may have a case as well, I remember the KO of Buetello was so fast the audience was booing as they didnt see it.

I think the big thing Fedor has over them though was just how good his defence was, his ability to slip punches during his prime was IMHO clearly the best of any HW.

Arlovski had some hand speed, but his chin and defense needed work.

That overhand right was faster than it had any right to be.

2009 Pitbull was giving Fyodor problems with his speed but Fyodor's evasiveness and his lightning fast, guided missile accurate OHR out of nowhere left Andrei cold and stiff.

Don't laugh it off without watching some tape, but Mitrione had some good speed.

2:02 Matt KOs Derrick Lewis in 41 seconds - Meathead was a talented athlete, who reached a high standard in several sports before taking his first pro MMA fight at 31. Like Lesnar it's a shame he didn't come along when MMA was already well established and train in it from the start.

No.

That Emelianenko guy from PrideFC had the fastest hands for a HW.

Heavyweight vitor is number 1 for sure. Fedor did have very quick hands though so did cro cop and jds.

He wasnt REALLY giving Fedor problems though, he was avoiding Fedor's head hunting offence for a few mins but Fedor was also avoiding his offence almost entirely, I feel like dimwit Tito on commentary has had an effect on how the fight is viewed.

Fedor I would argue has the best boxing defence of any MMA fighter we've ever seen, at least any well rounded elite fighter(so not Toney, etc), his ability to see punchs coming and slip them was exellent, especially as he did so whilst being extremely aggressive not backing off constantly like Cruz.

I would argue thats really what made him special, he was a world class judoka(3rd best in Russia is world class) who adapted to MMA in his prime but he also ended up being someone with real boxing talent who devolped it to a high level not the simplified "hand hands and pump the jab" style beloved by Sherdoggers as "technical".

Its also I think why he dropped off the way he did striking wise in his latter years akin to someone like RJJ, granted he wasnt a boxer on his level but like him he depended on being able to slip punchs and tiem his own via speed.
