Does Fedor have the fastest hands of all-time at HW in MMA?

Depends on what you call a HW, there are LHW's who fought at HW who have faster hands.

But out of guys who only fought at HW then his brother was faster.

Unpopular opinion: prime Pitbull was faster than Fyodor. Watch some of his fights/highlights from back in the day if you're not familiar, I'm not talking about his recent fights. Excellent MMA boxer.



You can't honestly believe Aleks had more potential than Fyodor? That's just Fyodor being modest and bigging up his brother.

Aleks was 6'5 250lbs really light on his feet with lightning hand speed for his size and multi time Combat Sambo Champ at 100kg+.

You are implying that I said Aleks didn't have a lot of potential but that's not what I said. If Aleks had kept to the straight and narrow he could have gone a lot further in MMA but Fyodor's talent was on a different level.

I am not sure how anyone can answer it without doing laboratory style tests and having a time machine. But yes, Fedor was up there with the fastest strikers. This is also why he was successful with a somewhat wild striking style.

Potential? Difficult to say. Raw physical qualities? Very possible. Aleks was a true HW, the advantages in size and reach alone count for a lot. On top of that he was lighting quick for his size.

That's a good point. Aspinall is a real HW in terms of size. His hand speed is incredible I must say.

Honestly "real HW" has always been the smaller guys.

HW has been dominated by guys that weren't hitting the max from basically 1998-late 2010's. 230-250 is the sweet spot. Mir won the title @ 251 and 253. Cain was 244. JDS 239. Fedor. Arlovski 235-240. Mirko 238-245. Stipe 240. Big Nog won interim at 237 lbs. Fabricio won the title at 232. DC was 246 and fat af.

I'd have to see him against one of those "small HW's" to judge the hand speed. He looks fast against other big lugs, though.
