Gane still is the fastest or 2nd fastest HW, he just played FIFA instead of training his TDD or grappling. But getting guillotined doesn't mean he's slow on the feet

Gane has fast feet, his hand speed is average or above average. Nothing special. His footwork is fantastic and rarely seen at HW though.

Aspinall has much faster hand speed and foot speed than Gane. probably the fastest we've ever seen at HW tbh.

Spivac has 8 submission wins not Gane, and yes spivac is one of the best wrestlers./grapplers at HW. Gane shutdown Spivacs wrestling, which you need actual competency in grappling to do. Gane has 3 submission wins and not eight. Spivac takes on Almeida next, so we will see if even Almeida can get through Spivac and his wrestling like Gane just did.

Also no one has outgrappled Francis, the current version in Francis. Francis outgrappled Blaydes and Stipe. Blaydes could not even keep Francis down in their first fight and was stopped by Francis. He also shrugged off Blaydes takedowns in the first fight and reversed Blaydes a couple of times. In Blaydes second meeting with Ngannou, he got knocked out with ease in the first round. Francis also shrugged off Stipes grappling in their second fight with pure upper body strength and knocked Stipe out cold. If it was that easy to outwretle Francis, then Stipe and Blaydes would have been able to do it with ease.

In terms of Ngannou and Gane, Ngannou failed to keep Gane down the first time he took him down. He then tried a second time and smothered him while both being exhaused, and took the win. Some say Cyril beat Ngannou 48-47. In terms of Jones, I do not see anyone outgrappling him at HW, so that is a moot point.

how did nganou outgrappled him?
nganou has like 2 takedowns and cant deal damage
i dont think thats effective grappling

gane actually took francis down too and would have been a champ if he didnt tried that submission
and gane outclinched nganou as well landing elbows (clinching is a part of grappling )
