Aspinall doesn't have one important trait Jones have

Aspinall is fighting in a weak division and doesn't have an impressive resume so where is the hype coming from?
<WhatIsThis>

He's fighting in the same division as Jones and he's #1 himself with first round finishes over #3,4, 5, 7 and 8, while Jon has 1 win over an active fighter and then fought a senior citizen he pulled out of retirement. Aspinall's HW resume is better than Jon's by quite a lot.

One particular reason why I believes Jones will win because of the mentality difference between the two. Jones have shown to be extremely resilient and a tough nut to crack.

He fought with a broken toe but it didn't stop him from giving up and won the fight.

Compared to Aspinall who folded after landing a kick.

On top of that, he bull rushed, went straight to Blaydes and fought recklessly that led to his injury.

His knees, hip and eye orbital will be gone if he bull rushes and gets inside Jones like that.

Jones opponents who fought recklessly have said they received devastating injuries and was never the same afterward.
Do you remember when Jones got his pec tore off against some absolute nobody in sparring and he quit and had to take a year off to get over it?

You can't be going into a fight with Aspinall with weak tendons.

I got Aspinall win via pec tear.

🙋🏿‍♂️ Yo wuts Azzpinall's Kube score a-gain 🤔 mi nuh have di pic no more any Azzpinall fans got di numbers lmk

Knowing how bad Santos or Rampage knees were destroyed and Aspinall's previous knee injury. I don't know how everyone says that Jones has no chance. Aspinall should be afraid if he doesn't get his 1 minute KO because he's getting cut down.

I've not seen Tom been in a war. Ive seem Jones been to hell and win. Can Tom ensure that kind of test, I'm not sure. That's what makes this rifjt intriguing because I don't think Jones is going to be KOed in the first 2 rounds like most of Tom's opponents.

So I'm against this perspective/opinion.

Tom is relatively inexperienced in his MMA career. He doesn't know when he should or shouldn't scared.

It doesn't matter if Jon is butchering him 40-32 going into the 5th. Tom is too inexperienced to know when he's been beaten. He's going to fight until the very end.

And then claim he won after getting beat up.

You could rip your toe like that in mile1 and finish a full marathon. Hell, some marathoners would pull it off and put it in their pocket. Can't do that with a torn MCL and ACL.

Nobody has ever said what Tom does better than Jones at besides being younger and hitting harder.

Which isn’t the best thing to bet on considering neither has ever mattered yet

Sure they have. He's got much better boxing skills which is the most important part of this fight. Not only that, he's got better overall movement and footwork while striking. That's in addition to speed and power. In a fight that will likely be standing, that will be crucial.

Stylistically, Tom has exactly the style that has given Jon problems in the past with Gus 1 and Reyes, two of his closest fights. Two fighters that match his size and length with better boxing, speed and movement/footwork. Difference is that Tom is a true HW, has a size advantage and much more power. Not to mention the prime and youth factor.

I like how you retroactively gave rankings to Tom’s opponents but didn’t give actual then current rankings to Jon’s

Curious!

MMA is more than boxing though which is why Jon is a kick-boxer instead of a boxer because having great kicks is important too and helps him nullify all these boxing focused guys. Jon is better than Tom at that which leaves him the better striker. As well as the better grappler.

If Tom’s winning this it’s because Jon’s 38.

They aren't retroactive rankings, it's what they're ranked right now. YOU want a retroactive ranking for Stipe to pretend it was a good win because he was artificially kept in even at #8 for promotion despite having 0 wins over any active fighter on the roster, and no wins at all in over 4 years.
