If Aspinall beats Gane it cements he would beat Jones. Aspinall’s popularity is as high as it will get without fighting Jones. If he beats him even more people will be hungry for Jones stripped and forces him to fight. The tears would be unprecedented. There would be so many people hating Jones when they finally fight it would break a million. Aspinall would finally be a star. The UFC would be able to count on Aspinall as a sell.

Agreed. Assuming Jones is truly still ducking Aspinall (and they don't have an actual agreement behind the scenes), then Tom should fight Gane or Volkov ASAP. Defending his interim title in September is the best way to guarantee himself the maximum pressure to fight Jon Jones. It would also push the UFC to get Jones to agree to defend vs Aspinall should he defend his interim title. If Jones refuses, I think Aspinall's interim title defense would turn undisputed.

You take any fight in which a Fighter A clearly won rounds 1 & 2, but Fighter B dominates round 3, and the retards in the media will inevitably score that fight 29-28 for Fighter B, because they are ... retarded. The media are retards?? Maybe some yeah, but the AC judges are often WORSE. They use boxing judges that don't even understand some aspects of MMA.

The fight was a robbery. Round 2 stats don't "show Gane won". He landed leg kicks, most of which weren't hard at all and Volkov landed clean punches on Gane's face. All "significant" strikes aren't created equal and damage CLEARLY favored Volkov.

Some media members are very good at scoring fights (and yes some are terrible). When it's 19 of 20, it becomes very obvious that essentially EVERYONE knows who won the fight. And Gane did not win that fight.

Edit: and as was mentioned, the media are mostly releasing their scores as the fight unfolds. So your assertion that what happens in round 3 affects their rd 1 and 2 scores is mostly untrue.

Gane already ducked Aspinall, if anything it's him that won't take the fight. The UFC won't make this fight anyway until they're 100% sure they can't get Jones/Aspinall done.

No idea why you'd favor Gane though. Every advantage he has over a lot of HW's (movement, speed, athleticism) are things Tom also has (and more when it comes to speed). And then you have Tom being the better grappler and having legit HW knockout power.

Wouldn't give Gane no chance, he's better than what he's shown recently imo. But he'd be a solid underdog and with good reason.
