serious question: how is Conor even being considered for such event after what’s happened legally??

The Allegations and Legal Outcome

December 2018:
A civil jury found McGregor liable for rape in a Dublin hotel—awarding nearly €250,000 in damages to the plaintiff, Nikita Hand.

July 31, 2025:
Ireland’s Court of Appeal upheld the verdict, rejecting McGregor’s appeal.

* Additionally, a criminal investigation is underway in Ireland regarding withdrawn affidavits during the appeal—raising possible perjury concerns

Should athletes found civilly liable for sexual assault be featured in “celebrity” or politically tied events like a fictional UFC White House card?
What message does the UFC send when promoting McGregor in light of a serious legal finding against him?

I mean what do you expect? He's working with Trump, who has his fingerprints all over the Epstein case. We don't have hard evidence that he was one of the "Epstien Clients", but it doesn't look good.

When he's willing to look the other way on Trump's allegations, it shouldn't surprise you that he's a garbage human.

Well, a lot of people flew on Epstein's jets and went to the parties at Epstein Island, but not every person on that list was as client of the Epstein child sex trafficking. The "Epstein Clients" are those :eek::eek::eek:phile clients.

Thing is Conor always makes the walk. Even if his shape wasn't great he would walk out. And he is not fighting for a title. Jones really didn't treat the HW title well. They gave him the Stipe gimmick fight. And he than went and held up the title for over a year. It's game over. If Jones wants to fight someone not for a title than let him. Even than well than he would walk out he only skipped the Sonnen late replacement. Which was ridicuous as Sonnen couldn't beaten him.

THERE WILL BE CAGE FIGHTS HOSTED ON THE WHITE HOUSE GROUNDS TO CELEBRATE THE FOURTH OF JULY.

The fact I didn't just make that up and it's actually happening still blows my mind.

They'll probably stack the card with Conor and Bones and pray one of them doesn't go on a drug binge or get into legal trouble.

Except for UFC 200. After Nate thoroughly embarrassed him, slapped him around the octagon and turned him into a panic wrestler, Conor was too embarrassed to show up for the necessary press events for the rematch and got pulled from the card. He literally went on twitter and announced his retirement rather than having to answer questions about getting dominated by Nate Diaz who took the fight on 11 days notice.

I mean it's obvious to anyone, if you want to sell the most PPVs who you need to put on. Conor comes first, sadly even now people will tune in to see how he does. Jones second, but I think if it was against Tuivasa or something no one would care.

Conor and Jones may be a scumbag, but if the UFC can legally fight them, they will. Too bad their best guys have trouble showing up to fight. We'll see how it goes.
