I legit think we're still in for a year full of Jon threads that everyone will post "stop talking about this ______" in, and if Tom were to take an L between now and then...
We may very well be 11 months or so away from seeing Jon fight at the white house lmao.

I think the sentiment I'm seeing here, that it'll never happen is hilariously naive
 
Meaning : Alex Pereira will fight Tom Aspinall. Jon Jones will take on the winner. Or... If Alex beats Tom (which I think he will... I have an eye for it and I say it's 60/40 for Alex Pereira, it'd be like vs Khalil Rountree imo) and Jon Jones takes long, Alex may call Ankalaev instead. In fact, Ankalaev said "Alex wants to fight me next year at Ramadan. I need more time"... Ankalaev posted recently that he weighs 240 lbs naturally too... So I think Alex will fight and imo beat Tom and end up calling Ankalaev for the rematch (Alex is gonna want the rematch I think ). Like he called Izzy when he beat Jiri Prochazka, I think something similar, though he won't be able to tell "Ankalaev, come to daddy" lol. Ankalaev posted "your dad (i.e Ankalaev) will fight you, Alex. Wait for me 😊" ... He has said Alex is in a different level from all the fighters that popped up in the UK card, which included Tom Aspinall.

Prediction. Alex beats Aspinall like he did vs Jiri Prochazka or maybe it goes like Khalil Rountree or Adesanya. Or a decision. Then he ends up calling Ankalaev. I think JJ has retired since Stipe Miocic and Alex is the one that's moving the pieces, with JJ being mentioned more as a marketing thing.

Jon always says the salient thing, we know that. He's super stable so yeah, there's no way a relationship between him and a guy like Trump could go south.🤣

I want Jones vs Aspinall, but would be funny if they put Aspinall vs anyone else on it instead.

I say put Aspinall vs Jones as the 2nd or 3rd fight from the top. Then pay someone fun with no wrestling, like Tuivasa, to be backup. That way in the unlikely event of Tom pulling out Jon won't pull out because it's a favourable matchup, and Tuivasa isn't anywhere near a title shot so maybe he'd accept being backup.
