It's true that Jones is a liability but what does it say about the ufc as a sport that they can't create a proper plan B instead.


not just talking about a backup fighter, more about creating a card so fucking good we wouldn't even care if that flake Jon Asterisk pops again hours ahead of the fight.

The UFC isn’t a sport, it's a promotion. Also the card isn't for another year, so it'd be weird if they'd planned the fights on it already. Nobody knows who'll be holding belts next summer.

Trump would take Dana's side in any argument between the two. Dana introduced Trump at the RNC before the election. They're friends.

There's no argument as far as Trump is concerned and the only side he'll ever feel the need to take is his own. Again, if he says, "I think the card should be headlined by Jon," there will be no, "Well, you see Mr. President, his reliability.."

It will be, "Yes sir, of course I agree, I will get right on making that happen however I can." It doesn't mean they not friends, it just means they both understand transactional relationships and who makes the calls

I think Jon only does what Jon wants to do. If he doesn't feel like fighting right now, the UFC/Dana isn't going to be able to make him. He sure the hell doesn't like fans telling him what or who to fight. In the big picture he has been pretty inactive overall since like 2014. One fight year outside of 2019 for the most part. In most people minds if they don't look up his record they think Jon dragging his feet on fighting is just something new since 2020 or so. But the reality is it goes back over 10 years.
