I've been a fan since 2016-2017, didn't watch his fights prior to that live. Never thought he'd get this far though.. I'm English also.

Most threads on him in my time here have been scathing, i'm also surprised at the mostly positive reaction to his win, I wonder if it'd be the same had he beaten someone more likeable than Usman like 2019 Masvidal for the title.

Once Edwards win a safe, technical decision, they'll jump off board again. It is the sherdog way.

I have been a fan ever since fighter Covington first put him over, and you can check that with the mods

I think most people just hate Usman so much (not sure why) that they now pretend Leon is their lifelong idol.

It's great Leon won, but he needs to work on his wrestling if he wants to defend the belt at all.

I wouldn't consider myself a fan, but I'm happy that he won. Some of usman's smugness wasn't really his fault, the UFC trys to force popularity and it backfires in a way

I'm not a Leon fan but he gave us one of the greatest come back KOs in UFC history and I'm happy for him that he achieved his goal of becoming champion.

LOL. Solid thread. I fully support it. People, in general are fickle and narcissistic. Getting on each new bandwagon is a way for people to feel empowered, and like they somehow fit in. The psychology of it is weird, to me anyway. Nobody gave a shit about Leon before last night. Most people talked about how boring he was and how he couldn't finish Diaz, etc. Way to bandwagon shame, TS. I'm totally on board.
