I was robbed of my consciousness. When I came back to my senses, I took my ass home, while seeing the usual stars and brightness that usually come concussions (wasn’t my first nor last). It’s a bit like a dream-like state or like you’re watching a movie. My feeling was that they (was three guys there) got a few more licks in when I was out a la Hendo vs Bisping. But we’ll never know

Edit: what sent me to the shadow realm was a punch to the back of my head from some dude while I was busy punching his buddy in front of me in the face.

Ah, I was young (16 or 17?) and it was over a chick. Got drunk, picked up a knife and a buddy, then headed to the guy’s neighborhood to look for him. Very intelligent decision. Of course he is there with all his friends. For some reason I tell him to come back to MY neighborhood to settle things. Lol. Like he was ever going to do that. Anyway, I didn’t have the guts to stab him. So I gave the knife to my buddy who was standing there helpless, to put it away. Then I went ahead and threw the first punch at the guy’s chin and his buddies promptly jumped me while we fought. I distinctly remember the one getting behind me for some reason (and who knocked me out). Aside from the concussion, I was fine the next day with just a cut lip and a bruised ego.

I mean not how you fought but walking up to a couple of guys with a knife in your hand. What did you think would happen. A knife is a deadly weapon. They were right to batter you. Unless they could talk sense into you. Would be better.

Mostly I learned that I don’t have the courage to stab another person. As for the beating it wasn’t about the knife, it was related to the chick. It was going to be fight on sight no matter where and how we met. I just happened to go to the dude first. We both had our own good reason to fight.

I know but the reason they stomped you is cause you aproached them with a knife. People can die from knives. You perhaps could of asked for a 1vs1 if you do that type of thing in your area.

Sakuraba was apparently at a restaurant with friends and they offered him some Saki , he politely declined and said that he doesn’t drink before a fight , his friends stared at him and asked “ what fight “? , Sakuraba said he was fighting Wanderlei Silva , his friends apologetic informed him that the fight had already happened last weekend.
Sakuraba made some quip about “well I guess I didn’t win did I “ and then said on the bright side I guess I can have a drink

Bringing a knife would definitely raise the level of anger. So better not bring a weapon if I’m not going to use it. Live and learn…
