There were a few to the lead up, before he won. I've seen his previous fights and wasn't a fan or saw what other people saw in him. That said, I'm impressed by his ability to come back and finish the fight in that way I've never seen him finish a fight with strikes so definitely, against Usman too who has an iron chin. Props to him he proved me wrong.

Agree 100 percent with your first paragraph and Dana made a high IQ move by making this fight. Thing is, all these pussies at welterweight were making excuses and refusing to fight him. You've got Colby, the ultimate Chad claiming he doesn't know Leon any time he's brought up and flat out refusing to fight him. So when everyone ducks a contender, you give them the title shot. Fuck the other guys imo. How can anyone blame him if everyone ducks him. Same thing with Islam and all those weirdos who keep insisting on Islam Vs beneil instead of the title fight in October.

And yeah it was a glorious moment. Usman is still one my favourites. I like him a lot. Probably even more than I like Leon. But that was one of the best MMA moments ever. Rent was due

I am also an Usman fan, took a long while for me to warm to him though, but no maliciousness at all , been an amazing Champ, if and when Leon loses it Usman would be the guy i'd be most happy to see a Champ again one day.

MMA has some of the biggest bandwagoners, dickriders and gloryhunters out there. It's cringe and really pathetic. I'm happy for Leon and said he had a real shot winning this fight but I'm not gonna pretend I was ever a fan of his or am now.

I was and am still so happy about the ko but still not a fan, but Luke started winning me over the interviews and the fight solidified me as a Luke fan idc if I’m a bandwagoner or whatever when it comes to Luke but that fight completely won me over, as for Edwards I cheered his ko as like I was his hardcore fan. But I hate that these casuals fuckin switch side in a heartbeat, most mma fans nowdays are front runners, fuckin lames, I have so many friends I tried to get into mma before Conor but they never have a shit now all of a sudden they tell me they been fans before me. It’s pathetic and hilarious.
