Where the hell did all these Leon Edwards fans come from?

Sometimes people are happy for others like Leon Scott to accomplish something like winning the world championship that he's been training for his whole life.

Became a fan in about 3 years ago. Watched a youtube clip about his backstory and how he grew up. Watched a few interviews and really liked how he presented himself. Watched his fights and became a fan.

Leon does not lend himself to boisterous brashness so I tend to reflect that as a fan. Compare how I speak about Edwards to how I speak about Conor who I am also a fan of.

I know y’all weren’t here Saturday morning. Now this place seems infested with them.

There is even a white belt named @Leon Edwards that somehow can make threads. It’s madness

This your opportunity to prove you aren’t a bandwagoner. Tell me when you became a fan. What won you over? Where have you been hiding? Why wait so long to show your face?

I too see the bandwagon jumpers, and I understand what you mean. But, to be fair, Leon Edwards has had a lot of respect on his name for a very long time, and many people, myself included, thought he probably should have had his shot sooner. And, to be fair, that was a pretty heroic victory, a perfect head kick knockout against all odds, that's the kind of thing that creates fans from casual viewers. My friends and I tripped out a little bit when it happened, to be honest, that was a shocking outcome for sure.

Hes a real fighter who doesn't come to just press people against the cage and he's in it till the final bell. You try engaging in a real fight with him at any point of the fight even when he's down huge on ufc points and you get slept.

Respect for the real fighters. The ones who would actually stand a chance against Jake Paul in a real fight. Not many ufc fighters can say that!

Shockingly I think your stock as a fighter rises when you spectacularly separate someone from his consciousness with your shin. Even more if that has been never done to that guy and he was champ. Its really strange that such a thing would elevate a fighters status, Totally unknown until Leon Edwards

I imagine quite a few would be from the U.K.
He seems a fairly humble guy, terrible at self promotion and he's a great fighter. Why would you not like him?
I mean, I was more surprised of the shite he got before winning the title.

My buddy who I watch MMA with hated Leon Edwards because of him beating Nate Diaz. I did think his skills were dope from watching that fight. Didn't know much about him but he seemed like a pretty good well rounded fighter with good elbows and kicks and also good grappling. I respected the fact that he was willing to follow Nate to the ground and wasn't scared of his Jui Jitsu. That being said I feel bad for Usman. I love wrestling and root for my home country USA so it sucked to see him almost win and then get stopped.

I was fan of Leon after he made Belal Muhammad cried from eye poke

Not a Leon fan but happy he won the fight.
Hopefully he get's to avenge the backstage drama starring sucker puncker Jorge street judas Masvidal

Made me a fan. Kill shot a top p4p king, and his emotions after the fight hit me in the feels. Respect to usman as well though.
