Where is Poatan all time at 205 now?

Jones, Shogun, Wand, Rampage, and Chuck are all ahead and that is just five off the top of my head.

All those people above fought grapplers in their lifetime by the way. But Alex... getting a SD against Jan is the closest he came.

A win over Rumble alone trumps Periera's entire LHW resume, and DC did it twice. Jiri's stock is inflated by his fan-friendly fighting style and his win streak in Japan's d-league. He would have been nothing in the Jones/DC era UFC LHW div. Let's not forget that Johnson annihilated the younger version of the guy that Jiri went life and death with to get the title. Jiri is just not that good when you compare him to past eras
Rumble has never won a belt in any major organization, and had fewer top ten ranked wins. Jiri was champion in RIZIN and in the UFC, was undefeated for a decade when he lost to Pereira, has wins over Nemkov, Reyes, Oezdemir, Glover, Rakic.

Jiri beat Nemkov like 10 years ago when they were in their early 20s, and it wasn't even at 205.

they had a battle in the first round, and then when the round ended Nemkov died.

Ok, he still has more top ten wins than Rumble even without Nemkov.

Actually just bringing up Nemkov reminds me, Jiri doesn't even have a better resume than Nemkov at 205. Nemkov was the best 205er in the last few years.
Now your just bein silly

Thank you for letting us know you're trolling.
Is this one of those "YOO NON UFC IS LIKE NCAA BASKETBALL" post?

When Glover was champion, Bellator had a bunch of guys who had beaten him when he was in their prime, and Vadim pretty much beat all of them.

Davis, Bader, Anderson? All those guys are better than Khalil and Jamahal Hill. Even old Yoel Romero could beat Hill.

What is even the argument against Nemkov? That he lost to Jiri 10 years ago in Japan? Lol He fights in Bellator? Most people probably just never seen him fight.

Why is Rampage so low? He has to be higher than Chuck and Randy imo
2 through 5 are so hard to rank and I could be persuaded to move any of them. They're so close.

Rampage does have 2 wins over prime Chuck, but he also has those losses to wandy, Shogun, sakuraba...

His accomplishments overall as a fighter is massive but he's not really a storied light hw. He's got 4 wins over former UFC champs at lhw. He has not lost at LHW in MMA.

-5 title wins, 4 at lhw
- undefeated at lhw 5-0
- 4 wins againt former champs

I think after 2-3 I more defenses he emerges as the clear number 2 lhw

Jiri x2 > Rumble x2
Blachowicz (40 years old) > Hendo (43 years old)
Rountree > corpse of Silva on a losing streak
Hill >= Gus
No.
Jiri (I love him) is not better than Rumble. Match him up with Rumble and I'd say higher chance Rumble beats him.
Hendo at 43 year olds vs 40 year old Blachowitz probably about the same, but name recognition alone is much better.
Corpse of Silva beat Derick Cannonier in next fight, who has a better resume than Rountree, but overall yes, he was way over the hill.
Gus is way better than Hill. Hill sucks. Only got his shot as #7 ranked fighter, because Dana had a personal thing with Ankalaev. Hill is basically a roundtree, does not deserve to be at the top of the division.

Not top 10 but wilp be with another win. Jones, Shogun, Rampage, Liddell, Machida, Evans, DC, Jan, Couture, and Glover all have more ranked wins at LHW.

DC ain't close to my top 20.
His resumé is weak, he never fought great competition like Big Nog, Werdum, Hendo or Fedor did, for example.
He was insanely good, but his competition is mostly weak.

Rumble was great too, probably top3 p4p puncher ever, but his ground game was a joke, Alex is like a master close to him.
I’ll just make these quick points and leave it at that.

DC did fight Hendo of course, at LHW. Obviously he never fought Fedor, as Fedor was retiring the same month that DC fought Barnett.
DC fought Bigfoot right after Bigfoot beat Fedor, Bigfoot was ranked #5; DC fought Barnett when Barnett was on an 8 fight win streak and had just beaten Sergei; DC fought Mir in Mir’s next fight after having challenged JDS for the belt. These are not fights against weak competition, they’re fights against top-ranked guys.

I can agree that a Werdum fight would’ve been nice. But you gotta remember that DC really came on the scene when he won the Strikeforce HWGP, in May 2012. Nog was not a top heavyweight at that time, and Fedor’s time at the top was done too.

As for Rumble, I agree that ground game was weak. Let’s see how Pereira’s is, if the UFC ever makes him fight someone who can threaten him there.

Jiri (I love him) is not better than Rumble.
I think he is.

Rumble is mostly a first round fighter, and Jiri is durable enough to survive the early onslaught.

If DC can take it, so can he.

I’m fine with Rampage being lower than shogun and Wand, the Saku loss was really early in Rampage’s career before he joined Team Oyama even, but it just doesn’t feel right to see Chuck and Randy ranked higher than Rampage lol

As long as he doesn't fail a ton of tests and run over a bus of toddlers, he may pass Jones soon.
Yeah, he’s only like 9 defenses away…
