Ulberg deserves a title shot at LHW more than Poatan ever did

Who has Ulberg even beat? CTE Reyes who got folded by Ryan Spann even easier lol? Gift decision over 45 year old Jan?
3 top ten wins, and Reyes was on a respectable 3-fight winning streak, better than Pereira's when he got his title shot.

The UFC won’t match him up with any grapplers or strikers in their prime because he’s Izzy’s waterboy lol.
The UFC never matched Pereira with a good pressure wrestler, guess why?

The only time Ulberg fought someone with reflexes:
he deserves to fight for the belt based on his current winning streak. Stop making excuses for ducking. Champions should defend or 👉Vacate.

You’re that regard that made the Alex should be stripped thread. Looks like another one for the ignore list
<36>

Alex fights 4x a year and then decides to take six months off. Then some retarded haters think it's grounds for stripping him.
Really, sometimes i just can't.

Is Poatan your boyfriend or something? Why do you want to give him massive privileges? 2 undeserved title shots aren't enough? If he can't fulfill his role as a champion, then he should be stripped.

Imagine letting champions leave the division for more than a year...

Krylov, Ank, etc.
Stop hating bro that shits whack. You know very well alex was deserving

Are people on this forum actually that clueless of the business?

They are not going to strip Alex prior to his next fight, even if he takes a "super fight." There is too much promotional value in that title being a current reign.
"LHW GOAT comes back to face the current LHW champ, for a one time HW clash of double champs on the White House lawn!"

If they do the Jon Jones fight, which I assume they probably are considering as it would be a huge fight

If that is his last UFC fight they will:

- Do an interim LHW title fight.
Which at this point would likely be Ulberg and Ank or Jiri.

- promote the winner to undisputed if/when Alex retires.

Or if Alex sticks around then hey "Champ vs Champ" ... again.
Now it is a unification instead of a title defense and both guys have belts.

If you are going to insist on crying about shit can you at least do so within the context of how the sport actually functions?

Ulberg has 10% of Alexes acomplishment in MMA and Kickboxing. You´re just not very knowledgable on the sport. Not gonna go into detail. You are green.

You’re grasping at straws mate. Again WHO has Ulberg beat and please include context.

Also the fact that you’re trying to discredit Alex record when he’s beat everyone in the division including fighters far superior to mediocre Ulberg is almost bizarre.

Ank, Jiri, Khalil, Jan a few years younger, etc would all eat Ulbergs lunch lol.

I could see him getting one tapped by Hill aswell lol.

To be fair Reyes is still super slick he just dies when ever his chin gets touched, very unfortunate because he was a talented fighter but he’s got bad striking defense good at being the hammer but horrible at being the nail

If I was Dominick I’d be super depressed over that

Pereira KOed Strickland before getting a shot at Adesanya. By the time he got his LHW title shot he had wins over Adesanya and Jan too. Ulbergs best win is a KO over Reyes. Something lots of fighters have on their record in 2025...

let's not forget Khalil got a title shot for a 2 fight streak whose highlight were a robbery decision against Dustin Jacoby and a win over Smith coming in on short notice.

Kenny ain't got no reflexes. Dude is slow as molasses. Only reason ulberg lost that FIGHT was bc he blew his wad and was gas. In fact ulberg crack Kenny's chin as we saw Kenny proceed to get knocked out several times following this fight whereas ulberg just win everyone of his fights. Interesting how Kenny moved up to hw since he couldn't heck it at lhw. Definitely a fluke win, just like dc win over Stipe and Usman win over Leon.

To hate on Alex is to hate on MMA itself.
I'm simply in favor of sports meritocracy. It doesn't matter if he's entertaining; he didn't deserve any of his title shots at LHW and is ducking the #1 contender.
Thats called a rematch, something that a lot of champions get, why are you acting like he was some mid top 15 figher who got the shot after losing to someone else?
No one should get a title shot coming off a loss.

He won't fight a contender for at least 1 year.

No, he was merely 1-0 (controversial split decision) at LHW.

Strickland and Izzy are not LHW fighters.

You are… simply in favor of getting your way. That is all.

Alex Pereira received 2 undeserved title shots at LHW:

- The first one was after just 1 single fight in the LHW division. A controversial split decision "win" against 40-year-old Jan Blachowicz. Poatan was 1-0 with no dominant wins over anyone in the division.

- And he received his second title shot coming off a LOSS.

Carlos Ulberg is on a 9-fight winning streak, the second longest in the division's history, and has 3 top-ten wins (including Jan).

And yet Poatan refuses to fight him and/or wants to make him wait over a year. Ulberg will be 35 in November, he doesn't have time to waste on this nonsense.
that 40 year old came from a draw with dagestani goat ankalaev. the title was up for grabs at that point.

controversial, my ass. mmadecisions have 22:4 which is a very wide margin. they have ulberg 8:4 over jan.

ulbergs best win is a CONTROVERSIAL decision over 45 year old jan.

his best win is Reyes.

Ank should have gotten the title shot instead of Pereira. He had 9 lhw wins and looked better against their common opponent (Jan). Pereira literally had no dominant wins in the division. Zero.
