Is Dom Reyes 1 Win away from a LHW title shot?

Two wins away, ulberg and either jiri or loser of Ank/poatan IMO, if they stay in the division.
 
Had Ulberg been more exciting, he would've already had a shot. Reyes with a win over him should get his chance at redemption. Had he won an easy fight after Jones loss, he would've probably had another shot pretty quickly. It was just too many losses in a row that set him back. Pretty dope if he passes Ulberg.
 
I find myself rooting for Reyes for the time ever because his next opponent is from CKB and the champion is a smug neckbeard
 
I feel bad for Dom but him getting a title shot, or even worse, the belt, is horrible for the division.

LHW needs to move as far away from the JBJ era as possible for it to recover.

If Dom wins it makes the division look like an even bigger joke
 
Ulberg is riding an 8 fight win streak, if Reyes beats him he should be next in line for a title shot, yes even over the winner of Jiri vs Khalil. Khalil and Jiri's only win since getting smashed by Poatan is Hill and they were both coming off of title shots prior to fighting him. Where as Reyes is riding a 4 fight win streak, all finishes. If Reyes is able to beat Ulberg (especially by finish) he absolutely deserves the TS over everyone in the running IMO.

Why would it be two wins away? Ulberg is on an 8 fight winning streak and just beat Jan. if Reyes beats him it should be auto title shot. If not the UFC is a joke.

Agreed. But Poatan going up to HW win, lose, or draw against Ankalaev.
 
He’d be in a position where he would be a viable challenger but it probably depends what happens on what happens in the 2 other big fights in the division. If Ank wins, they probably give him the Jiri/Rountree winner. If Pereira wins, he could get it. Especially if Jiri beats Rountree.
 
I would love that for him. That's a really good fighter who's had some low lows.
 
Reyes getting another title shot would be an amazing redemption story. even if he never wins the belt. the guy's really locked in and improved since his losing streak.

Yeah I know what you mean, I honestly thought he might be cut after the Spann KO, that was a brutal beating, and he was 0-4 in his last 4 at that point, I was thinking PFL might pick him up, I was surprised UFC kept him, but I was just expecting another loss, but big props to him! he has come back and 3 fights in a row now and looked good in all 3 fights, I really didn't see it coming, after that Ryan Spann fight it looked like the end. Great turnaround. (I also can't believe he will be in the title picture in 2025)

Crazy this is a TS elimination fight considering Ulberg has won 8 or 9 in a row compared to Dom's 3, and Dom wasn't even ranked when his resurgence happened.
