Rumble is mostly a first round fighter, and Jiri is durable enough to survive the early onslaught.

If DC can take it, so can he.

I think Jiri tailor made to be an easy Rumble victim. He just stands and bangs and doesn't have good defense or boxing fundamentals, and that's pretty much a recipe for disaster with Rumble. I don't think he can survive Rumble.

Not top 10 but wilp be with another win. Jones, Shogun, Rampage, Liddell, Machida, Evans, DC, Jan, Couture, and Glover all have more ranked wins at LHW.

Going by overall ranked wins, which isn't even true in some of these cases as Pereira has more ranked wins than DC, is a pretty dumb metric when Pereira has 3 title defences which is also more than most of these guys. He also beat some like Jan or beat the guys who beat others like Glover. And is undefeated at LHW so doesn't have losses dragging him down.

Like I get if you don't want to call him top 5, but not top 10 would be ridiculous. That 1 more win you want him to get to simply be top 10 would have him tied for 3rd all time defences and his defence are obviously better than Tito's and even Chuck's who's #2 in defences.

If he gets another defence over the Ank/Rakic winner he should probably be #2 UFC.

Rumble has Poatan level power. I think Jiri would succumb to a few Rumble bombs, which is pretty much guaranteed with the way he fights. I don't fancy his chances there.
But respect your opinion either way.
I would be rooting for Jiri in that fight as a sidenote.

its because Jones was terrorizing the division for so long. A bunch of the guys that rised to champ status during Poatan's reign were never really top 3 in the division. Look at Glover's rise to champ status at 40....

It's difficult to say because he only has 5 fights at LHW. Then again 4 of those were wins against former and recent LHW champions. He's probably around 9 or 10.

I don't know why we're also just ignoring that DC definitively lost twice at LHW (and arguably possibly a 3rd time) while Pereira is undefeated at LHW, as well as that DC never should've been champion at all, twice, meanwhile Pereira actually inarguably is the best LHW and there's no controversy about his reign.

He's 5-0 at LHW so far (including one fighter twice) and those are good names but I don't know that any of them are huge all time names.

He would need more of a streak and more substance to his list to qualify top 10 all time LHW.

DC is #1. I'd rank Pereira #2 or #3. I might put Rampage at #2. I think Chuck is at #4 or lower because his competition was pretty weak other than Randy Couture.

Jones is disqualified because he failed PED tests and history will write him off.

I mean, it's all subjective. We all pick and choose what to ignore. I choose to believe than Andy didn't use PEDs until after his leg break, but he was almost certainly on something before that.

Shogun and Rampage didn't really have the consistency once they hit the top. I mean as a massive Shogun fan, he had one run before blowing his knees apart. Rampage just didn't have the discipline, it seemed. I don't think Chuck and Randy had styles that would have done well in today's climate. Same with Tito.
