The situation at LW has been complicated for years because of shitty matchmaking. It’s hard to understand why some people want to kill all potential contenders by matching them up against each other.

Now we hear that Arman doesn’t deserve a second chance, Charles has to fight someone else, Ilia has no business fighting for the second belt and most ridiculous thing is that people want these three guys fight each other. wtf?

Who is supposed to fight for the belt next? Can’t believe people seriously think that either just KOd by a featherweight Gaethje or Holloway is a better option? Or a rematch with Dan Hooker? Like seriously? What type of mental gymnastics is this?

As long as Belal is champ, he is not going to fight anyone dangerous who he spent a honeymoon with, so we are not going to see that fight either.

5 title defenses before trying the next weight class. Or you abandon your original title first. No more boring double champ stuff and no more instant title shots in another division.

Arman/Islam is the fight. Arman being an idiot who blew up too much for the cut really threw a wrench in that division. I hope they only make him fight once, maximum twice before getting another shot while both he & Islam are in their prime. I'm not interested in seeing Islam fight anyone else at LW.

Topuria is obviously very talented but he's also a brat who has clearly gotten his way throughout life up to being the stereotypical gym darling who crushes training partners & other members with zero consequence. If he wants a crack at the LW title he needs to either put in more work @ FW or move up properly and fight some contenders. Volk dominated that division for years before he got the shot. Ilia has not.

So what's your solution for the next LW TS ?

They should rebook Arman fight just like they did with Khabib vs. Tony in the past. If Arman doesn’t want it, they should do Charles 2. It’s not that complicated. And they should book it soon, champ took no damage and should be ready shortly after ramadan.
These two are the top contenders at LW, like it or not and beating them does more, than beating featherweights or lower ranked guys. Everything else is just bs.
