Tom’s legs could not take that. All that weight on his front leg. 3 good calf kicks and he’s a limping punching bag
D1 Francis is a myth yet he stuffed stipe like it was nothing and took his back right after then proceeded to feed him punches.I would be surprised if he did that to Pereira quicker. He would beat Pereira but Gane's ground game got beat out by Ngannou. D1 Ngannou is a myth. Gane's ground game is just poor and it continues to get exposed. Pereira is at least learning and already at a brown belt level.
Let me clarify; both Gane's and Alex's ground games are awful and virtually non-existent. I'm just saying in a grappling match, I'll take Gane over Alex just because he is naturally bigger, stronger, and more mobile.I would be surprised if he did that to Pereira quicker. He would beat Pereira but Gane's ground game got beat out by Ngannou. D1 Ngannou is a myth. Gane's ground game is just poor and it continues to get exposed. There isn’t a “bigger” fight. Not with the fighters that aren’t injured. I suppose they could have Aspinall/Gane. But Aspinall/Alex is a superfight. Featuring the two heaviest weight classes. It headlines over any other realistically possible fight.
Clowns in here would still be whining, though.
Wouldn't affect either's career either
Exactly. I think Tom should treat his IC belt as real belt at this point and fight Gane at 300 (that would be huge, and if Alex fights someone else there the card is fulfilled), because Jon and Miocic will retire once they fight each other and whoever holds IC belt at the time will get promoted to the real belt. Besides "X00" event doesn't feel right without a big HW bout.Easy win for Tom so that is why he would take it. He needs to sack up and fight Gane. That would be a huge for 300 and help to build his legacy and could force the UFC’s hand a bit when it comes to a fight with Jon Jones
For me, I don't want to see Alex get smashed. Which he will if this happens.why would anyone whine about this matchup?
Yeah but there's like a one in a million chance of that happening. It would absolutley affect Aspinall's career if he lost.
He sure didn't.Neither did Jon Jones lol
Pereira's KO power is not nearly as deadly at LHW, so at HW he might really struggle. And his chin would not want anything from Aspinall.Gane has a worse ground game than Pereira and Pereira is probably more dangerous on the feet.
I think Tom is the favorite but idk why you think Gane is the litmus test.
He sure didn't.
Sack up and fight Gane?!?Easy win for Tom so that is why he would take it. He needs to sack up and fight Gane. That would be a huge for 300 and help to build his legacy and could force the UFC’s hand a bit when it comes to a fight with Jon Jones
