Tom Aspinall’s best career win.

Dude, Jones is 37 and made tons of money already plus he hates training and prefers getting high and running people over.

Aspinall is not even top 25 on Jones list of not wanting to fight.

LMFAO "derp not even top 25..."

Just when I think you can't offer anything more stupid, you top yourself.

While I agree that Aspinall has question marks and is far from some world beater, it is indisputable that Jones ducked him. Jones was the active HW champion with a healthy interim champion waiting in the wings... his attempts to call out Pereira (who wasn't even in the same division) and then retiring after Pereira lost was more blatant ducking than Tito refusing to fight Chuck.

His sudden attempts to backtrack by claiming he had already been retired for months confirms this. If he had actually retired, he would have done so after beating Stipe (in a fight that was already ridiculous enough for a champion to take) but it is painfully obvious that Jones only wants low risk/high reward fights.

Jones probably would have beat Aspinall but he was unwilling to prove it despite him being the clear cut #1 contender so yes... Jones ducked him. He ducked Ngannou as well (how convenient that he finally decided to go up in weight as soon as the division was dead and buried) but Ngannou is outside the hype machine now so no one is talking about it.

I think most non-biased observers would agree its between the following two opponents:

1) Sergei Pavlovich

OR

2) Curtis Blaydes

Now lets delve deeper…

Pavlovich’s best win in the UFC is Curtis Blaydes and his most relevant losses in the UFC include aged-Overeem and Volkov.

Blaydes best win in the UFC (prior to fighting Tom the 2nd time) was either aged-JDS or aged-Overeem and his most relevant losses include Derrick Lewis and quick KO loss to Ngannou.

Examining the above, how can ANYONE argue that Tom has MUCH to prove??

The sample size is much too small and seeing threads daily about how Tom scared off Jones is off the charts ridiculous with Tom’s body ot work.

PS: I think Mark Kerr fought more credible HWs when he became UFC Champion back in 1960 or whenever. 😂

Tom's best win is JBJ. Didn't even throw a strike

Ok so there’s nobody good so how can he prove he’s good? How can he build a resume? See how you’ve set up an impossible, dishonest scenario?
You are missing the point, Tom has yet to do anything that would “scare” anybody let alone Jones.

Aren’t you in the group saying Jones retired out of fear of Tommy and his domination of people like Arlovski?

I like your points and you presented them respectfully. I am no Jones fan but Tommy will not even been in the same hemisphere as Jones when its all said and done.

Gane, or someone that is not 50 fights deep in to their careers.
Tom is tearing through the division like an absolute monster.

He's taken out half the top 10 in a combined 8 minutes of cage time. If that doesn't impress you nothing will.

He can't do much better than that, hopefully he'll run through Gane next.

Not Tom's fault Gane and Jones ducked him.

Lol, your “point” is there literally nobody good he could beat so set up a self fulfilling prophecy of how he couldn’t have scared Jones.

It’s a dishonest premise indicative of somebody not looking for an honest conversation.

You assume too much and you know what they say about those who assume…

Eh, maybe you don’t know judging by your posts.

There it is. No substantiative response so just give some vague response and throw in an insult. It’s almost as good as having an actual point!
