Tom Aspinall’s best career win.

Its not a great resume but its not terrible either. People tend to conflate name value with ability sometimes, there arent many big historically relevant names around in this era but that doesnt mean a guy like Pavlovich couldnt potentially beat a Mir, Brock, Bigfoot, Carwin etc, who were considered big wins for people back in the day.

Maybe because he is tired of beating everyone in front of him?

Hes fought 3x in the last 6 years. One of them he lost really and one was against a 42 year old who hadnt won a fight in 4 years. Why are you talking like hes been clearing out divisions?

Gane has objectively better resume than bum Asp.
corps of Arlov, Spivak, Blaydes, Volk and Pavlo (and Blaydes loss) ---- vs ----- Lewis, Volk x2, JDS, Rosen, Tai, Spivak (and Jones loss and basically draw with Ngannou)
from best to worst win:
Blaydes = Lewis
Volk = Volk
Palvo<Volk 2
Spivak<Tai
Arlov<JDS
any otherr Asp opponent<Spivak
Blaydes loss<Joness and Ngannou losses combined

Deal with it, Asp fans (Jones haters) <JonesLaugh> <JonesDXSuckIt>

Why is it almost every Jon fan on here is an actual full time troll?

I think most non-biased observers would agree its between the following two opponents:

1) Sergei Pavlovich

OR

2) Curtis Blaydes

Now lets delve deeper…

Pavlovich’s best win in the UFC is Curtis Blaydes and his most relevant losses in the UFC include aged-Overeem and Volkov.

Blaydes best win in the UFC (prior to fighting Tom the 2nd time) was either aged-JDS or aged-Overeem and his most relevant losses include Derrick Lewis and quick KO loss to Ngannou.

Examining the above, how can ANYONE argue that Tom has MUCH to prove??

The sample size is much too small and seeing threads daily about how Tom scared off Jones is off the charts ridiculous with Tom’s body ot work.

PS: I think Mark Kerr fought more credible HWs when he became UFC Champion back in 1960 or whenever. 😂
In this case Jones has alot to prove too. He only beat old washed much smaller guys or unproved ones. And got the sh** beat out of him by guys that werent noobs and not 20 yrs older than him and much smaller.

Why are you ignoring the fact that almost the entire world thinks he just lost to Volkov?

Gane can’t even convincingly beat Tom’s sloppy seconds. Imagine what Pavlovich or Blaydes would do to white belt mcpillowfists

Even if that were true, what relevance does it have? Jones still ducked him, and literally didn't fight anyone else other than Gane that was an active fighter.

Sorry, nobody needs to "deal with" you being a moron. Laughing at you is much better.

Maybe because he is tired of beating everyone in front of him? If he beats Aspinall someone else will be calling him out
Then he should retire.

Oh wait, he retired just long enough that he didn't have to fight Aspinall.

Exactly so again its not like he was super active and then just stopped out of fear for Tommy.

Jones has been disinterested for awhile.

Ask Jones why he was so scared.
I genuinely believe that he was more under motivated than scared.
Jones needs stars to fight or he’s gonna put a mountain of cocaine as an obstacle to make it interesting for himself.
Not many people can get excited to do a gsp or Demetrius Johnson thing, and just go to work everyday as a professional athlete.

MMA is full of adrenaline junky big game hunters and that’s what makes the sport great, for me anyway.

I didn’t care to see dj or gsp post up vaguely inspired lopsidedly dominant decision wins versus unwarranted contenders.

I’d much rather see Icaruses incinerating trying to knockout the Sun.

Hmm…so clever…were you on the debate team in jr high school before dropping out?

100%…why the HELL would anybody be scared of Aspinall? Let alone Jones…

The problem was him getting the title. That puts the pressure on to fight all comers and do it regularly. If he had just said he was semi-retired and wanted a few hand picked big name fights here and there he wouldnt have gotten so much heat.

I dont think its fear of Tom specifically, its fear of anyone that has a serious threat of beating him at this stage of his career. Hes an inactive 38 year old career LHW who has so far avoided (officially) losing and has never slipped up and got KTFO or subbed. He got a hell of an ego on him and knows it would suck for him big time if he gets this far in his career only to have his head taken off in in the first round front of millions of people right near the end of his career because hes slowing and bit off more than he could chew. So guys like Tom and Ngannou, who are big guys with serious one hitter quitter power and enough grappling to potentially force him to stand with them, are not appealing fights for him.

Well then Jones should have fought him and showed us all what's up. It's just not right that Jones dangled everyone for so long and now he's doing it again. We should move on and let Tom prove himself by fighting top HW contenders. If Jones wants to be HW champ then he can get in line and get a couple of quality wins, but no more silliness.

Because Jones actually beat better fighter than bum Asp, but every his hater think he was "obligated" to fight this gatekeeper...

Jones would annihilate Asp. Yes, he ducked him, but he also ducked Sonnen once and... you saw the fight? He ducked Hendo and you really think Hendo would beat him at the time? <smelltheroses>
